DELTARUNE; Chapter 3 & 4 !!!SPOILER!!! Discussion Thread

I do want to point out that Susie saying "everybody bleeds" is just a saying. In the official Japanese translation, which Toby helped make himself as he was learning Japanese at the time, Susie instead uses a saying that means "everyone hurts sometimes" or something

I don't think this specific line can be used as evidence, but we have two on-screen blood sightings, so we really don't even need it lol

Suise could also be just quoting something she heard on TV. Like human media is still watched in monster communities so her watching an action or horror movie that doesn't really make sense in context isn't that weird.

Maybe, but it stands as a direct counterpart to the equally uncertain "Does it hurt being made of blood?" question from that one monster child, which people bring up when it's discussed. I don't see the harm in having it as supporting evidence.

You know, now knowing that monsters bleed do you think the kid meant physical matter, and just worded it funny? (because they're a kid)

Monsters still turn to dust in Deltarune, so i'm willing to bet they're also not made of much physical matter like their Undertale compadres, and the kid was just being a weirdo when they saw a human.

Would Lightners who can open dark fountains also have necromancy / ressurection because of Gerson?

Shouldn't Watercooler have duplication through that scene where if you try to leave the room, the Fun Gang is surrounded by multiple Watercoolers that prevent them from escaping?

It's also possible that Toby's writing just wasn't consistent (perish the thought).

Well, I believed it could be duplication because when the battle starts, the fun gang ends up only fighting one of the water collers and not 2/4 of them.

Just because you only fight one doesn't mean the water-cooler has duplication.

Noticed Tenna's page mentions his use of a "contract" against the Fun Gang to force them to ACT, but dialogue in Rouxls's fight implies it's actually a Rules Card, and Tenna just calls it a contract... that's a super minor correction because it's still Law Manipulation, but...

You see-eth, I hath secretly "Trading Cards" with TV GUY...
One "Rules Card" for his "Debith Card".

Now that 8-C Deltarune is back, does that mean we could add this calc back to the verse page’s calc list (and probably give Dummy a proper AP value)? It got removed in this thread
You know, now that I think about it, it does have a listed attack of 9, and the Delta Warriors would later go on to fight stronger foes with higher attack than it, so maybe it's fine.

I think Pixel Kris can get a profile tbh. It's made clear that it's a different entity than Kris themselves, it has feats and powers, etc

If we make a Pixel Kris profile, then I wanna say that they can (potentially) destroy 4 trees with 1 sword swipe. That should probably be calculated, even if it might not be better than the Elnina value we currently have for the verse.
A very quick glace tells me that it's probably lower than 0.088 tons of tnt, 9-A

That's the energy required to destroy four trees, but that calc isn't using palm trees, so the result would probably be a bit lower

Pretty sure this calc is using Frag, while Pixel Kris leaves nothing of those trees behind.

Although the in-game trees are nowhere near as big as actual trees, considering how small the in-game Kris is.

For Pixel Kris would I use the same height as Kris or, since we can directly compare them to normal Kris via Pixel Kris walking out the game, should I use that for the size

I think we still need to include it on Rouxls's profile his ability to alter the rules of the game in Chapter 3 to only allow for ACTing during the battle, which was only countered by Lancer.

Did the temperature alteration feats not get calc'd or are they not super significant to get the non-Delta Warriors above building?

there are these ones which are both 9-B+

though there is a Reddit calc that applied how cold Elnina can make the room to Noelle's freezing feats that got like 8-B (not sure if that's legit though)
