For those of you who don’t know, Satsujinki is the Shiki with the blindfolds, and who looks like a crazy homeless serial killer and is Shiki in Talk/Prelude/Tsukihime Two. He has a few feats. He might as well add another key to him. Yea no?

he casually defeats Einnashe and survives inside his reality marble, who is stated to be one of the most powerful Dead Apostles and has killed many who have entered it, along with said Dead Apostle Ancestor fighting Merem and Ciel at the same time and damaging the former.

The Church has sent first-class combat units out of dignity.

The result is obvious. The Church has failed again.

Also, the Church is not the only one that is interested in Einnashe.

There are many organizations that are trying to negotiate, or capture Einnashe, one of the most powerful of the Dead Apostles.

They, too, sent their elite into the forest, but the result was the same.

Einnashe does not distinguish friend from foe. Everything that sets foot upon his alien world has no more meaning to it than food.

Even so, there are many humans who wish to enter the dark forest.

One of the reasons is related to immortality.

In the center of the dark forest, there is a giant tree, and in that throne of Einnashe is a fruit of vivid red.

A singe fruit holding the condensed blood of hundreds, thousands of animals that had lived in the forest.

One who eats that fruit can gain temporary immortality.

That is, similar to a light trap.

Countless humans enter the dark forest, lured by the fruit of immortality.

This year, it has been 4 days since Einnashe has appeared again, and the number of hunters that have entered the forest goes over a hundred.

only four remain.

Numbers 5 and 7 of the Burial Agency, the prized anti-vampire organization of the Church.

A wind magus from the Mage's Association, who has visited the forest as a hunter.

And, one other.

a segment of the fight between Merem and Ciel Vs. Einnashe.

'What......!'

Ciel rises to her feet.

And at that moment.

'Eh------no way?'

The whole forest shook, and suddenly, one of the boy's legs ruptured.

If there was such a thing as a god's beast, then it would refer to something like that.

Merem mentioning him running into Satsujinki and telling Ciel that he's closer to its core than they are and Satsujinki killing it.

'If it's his location, it's simple. He was closer to Einnashe than we are. So I gave him some guidance.

Anyway, he says he's here to destroy Einnashe.'

'No, this is bad------of course, it lives purely on instinct. Looks like it noticed that something capable of killing it has come near.

That Disemboweling Forest is about to kill every single living thing on it.'

Severing countless assaulting branches, she headed to the core of the dark forest.

What happened after that, would be needless to say.

Since it would be what anyone would imagine.

so Satsujinki survives in the reality marble of one of the strongest Dead Apostles that has killed over a hundred of other elite forces, was beating Merem and ruptured his leg, who is another Dead Apostle Ancestor, along with Ciel fighting right next to him to assist him. Satsujinki also was making more progress than both of them combined and was reaching Einnashe's core before them, with it stating the conclusion is obvious for anyone to imagine. at the very end Ciel tried to go after him, but it's doubtful her and an injured Merem would've gotten there in time. and Satsujinki was surviving in the forest easily without help and even had his bandages on most of the time, so he should be rated as far above Einnashe. Keep in mind, this was a post Melty Blood Ciel that should be vastly beyond her Tsukihime and melty selves, and Merem is among the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors and is a member of the burial agency and, on top of that, was turned in to a DAA by Crimson Moon himself in his backstory and the nail in, the coffin being that Ciel actually is the weak link even in talk and prelude, and she already has showings in melty that rivals a fully restored 30% Arcueid meaning she should be vastly beyond 30% Arc in Talk/Prelude yet even with Merem they still had trouble getting past Einnashe and Satsujinki causally strolled through without help and made it to the core.

the part down below shows him wrapping up his bandages in the forest. Another feat of his also in the same section is that he defeats Forte in an instant without even needing to cause her harm. and she is stated to be on par with the Burial Agency. the story even points out how it was "impossible to compete against this oriental."

And, a battle draws to an end.

A dark forest.

The mage Forte has been defeated by a nameless opponent.

'------I ask, for your name.'

Forte spoke, hidden in the shadows of the trees, posed to break from this location immediately.

The mage was not wounded. Even after a complete and utter defeat, her body didn't have a single scratch.

However, the battle was concluded.

Forte understood that it was impossible to compete against this oriental.

To be honest, she couldn't believe she was still alive, that she wasn't killed outright.

It was as if all this, hiding in the shadows and hearing his name, was just a delusion, as if she was already dead.

The oriental said something, but it was impossible for Forte to understand. Since she never was interested in Japanese,

even the pronounciation wasn't caught clearly.

But still------Forte inscribed that poorly heard sound into her mind.

The one that forced her, a swordsman as well as a mage, who could stand her ground even against the dogs of the Burial Agency, into defeat.

The name of the unknown killer.



And the mage departed.

She left like the wind, in the same manner in which she appeared.

'------ha.'

A sigh, and he winds the bandages again.

In his hand, there is only an antique knife. Other than that, some light clothing that is lacking somewhat in resistance.

Even in this unearthly, demonic ground, his attire was as simple as that of the boy called Merem Solomon.

'Indeed, with you as an escort, even Nero would have been exterminated.'

The voice spoke out without any sign of disturbance, as if it already knew his presence. The voice spoke English, which he couldn't speak at all,

so it was somewhat difficult to understand what it said.

'Pleased to meet you, Satsujinki. Though we were to meet in the near future, I never imagined we would meet today.

and it should be noted that everything described here is being described by the narrator. this isn't Forte in her mind thinking she's on par with the Burial Agency. the story itself is saying all of this.

also notice they are in Einnashe's reality marble, yet Satsujinki winds his bandages again after defeating Forte while in it and seemingly only took them off for Forte. so he was surviving in the reality marble of one of the strongest Dead Apostles that killed over a hundred elite individuals without the use of his eyes and took out someone who rivals the Burial Agency while in it as well, then is making more progress towards the core than both Ciel and Merem combined with his blindfold on.

and as shown above, Merem says Tohno at this point could even take down Nrvnqsr, who is another one of the strongest Dead Apostle Ancestors. this may seem irrelevant since Shiki is the one who killed Nrvnqsr, but that was his true self as Nanaya. so this is a good statement for the Tohno personality.

Satsujinki also assassinates a Dead Apostle Ancestor that replaced Nrvnqsr faster than he could react and only noticed a shift in the wind before being killed.

Dead Apostle Louvre.
A vampire who dwells in Norway who's over 500 years old.
A big aristocrat who is about to succeed the empty 10th spot of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors.

He plays with his beard.
While old Louvre was having fun seeing the girl enter the castle, a faint wind flew by his face.

At that moment, he falls back in an ultra speed, reacting quicker than he can think of those questions. Even though he was rather young, he still possessed the ability that would not shame his title as a great noble.
Just like that. As he landed on the floor, his body from waist down, slid off.

Falling, falling, falling.
He almost died of disbelief.
What surprised him though, was feeling the sense of not being able to recover from the wound like when he was once a human being.
Or rather, he felt nostalgic.
Horrifying but splendid. Very much like the moment that he was no longer a human being. The location he was cut was completely "Dead".
When he looked up, there was a round hole poked through the indestructible ceiling.

An eye-dazzling crimson moon.
In the room. There was a knife that cannot be any simpler, a face wrapped in bandage, and even though it's the first encounter, to anyone, that was the silent, God of Death.

What makes this even more impressive is that Lovure saw him coming through his future sight and had even prepared traps and other things for him yet, still got killed faster then he could react and it eclipses Nanaya's feat of stealth killing Arcueid since the latter has no future sight or any sensing whatsoever and had no way to tell him coming ahead of time.

finally, Satsujinki acts as a guardian for Arcueid, which leads to the conclusion that he's stronger or at least comparable to her. there would be no reason for him to be her guardian if he was fodder to her. and Melty Blood Tohno already stomped a version of Sion stronger than the one that could hold off against Arcueid, so this lines up fine with an older more dangerous version of himself being superior to post-Tsukihime Arcueid. This is also backed up by Melty Blood Tohno (whos fodder to Satsujinki due to far less combat and being much more gullible and hesitant having feats that straight up surpass Full Power Arcueid aka Red Arcueid such as being stated to be above a suppressed inverted Akiha, killed a fully replicated red arc while hesitant etc)

in terms of where this key is rated at compared to his other keys, i'd reckon it's vaguely in the same league as Wallachia's Tatari Nanaya, who toyed with 50% Arcueid
Though Satsujinki, from an overall holistic perspective, should be way beyond Tsukihime One Nanaya due to the fact that he has seen way more combat, and also Tohno, as Satsujinki acts straight up like Nanaya and has nothing left of him, as Tohno. Implying he merged with him and gained further combat experience and has displayed far better assasination skills compared to Nanaya who just brute forced his way as seen many times in Tsukihime besides Arcueid at the start of the VN in the near side routes. Also, it might seem crazy to rate Satsujinki above Nanaya but Tohno has always had massive spikes of power as he went from unable to beat Nrvnqsrs dogs a night before to fighting 70 of his beasts and then stomping him as a half dead bleeding Nanaya or how in a few days in the Kohaku route he goes from killing Yumizuka to blitz stomping a fully inverted Akiha whos absorbed ROA-SHIKI and has succumbed to her impulses also melty blood Tohno going from struggling aganist a TATARI Nrvnqsr to beating a fully replicated Red Arc in just a year with minimal effort in AA etc. Point is, is it really crazy to imagine Satsujinki by lore surpassing tsukihime one Nanaya after a year after everything i mentioned and then some other things I will not mention for the sake of time but basically his keys would go like Tsukihime Tohno<<<<<Melty Blood Tohno<=> White Len TATARI Nanaya<<<<<<<<Wallachia TATARI Nanaya = Tsukihime One Nanaya<<<<<<<<<<<<Satsujinki (by lore).

I know there was dispute over the "bodyguard" thing before but we already have Shiki scaling to Arcueid in some capacity so I don't think it matters much. Agree with the OP.

He is called Satsujinki by Ryougi and Kouma in AA TATARI Nanaya and by Merem in Talk.

The Satsujinki name was originally used in one of the Ciel-sensei lessons afaik, it's a wordplay with 殺人鬼(satsujinki, lit. bloodthirsty killer) and 志貴(shiki) using the last kanji in Shiki's name to make 殺人貴(satsujinki)

I also wanted to drop some explanations for Satsujinki from the guides.

The state when Shiki’s conscious mind goes blank due to the inversion impulse. Or, a possible future version of Tohno Shiki.
If there’s ever a Tsukihime 2, he’ll be a main character. Perhaps because the mystic eye killers alone have become unable to suppress his death perception, he’ll always have both eyes covered by bandages.
Though the Nanaya Shiki that appears in Melty Blood is close to this, properly speaking “Shiki the Killer” is something that should stem from “Tohno Shiki.”

As for the thread, I haven't read Talk. and Prelude but most of the scaling seems fine at a glance.

I disagree with how we're treating Nanaya (I think there's a significant difference between the "Shiki Nanaya" that embodies Shiki's past à la Ciel route True End and the "Shiki Nanaya" that we see in Kagetsu Tohya and Melty Blood) but that's probably beyond the scope of this thread.

There might be some continuity issues with what route Tsukihime 2 would have followed. The manga (Arc's True End) seemed to lean into Tsukihime 2 being a part of its continuity, while what Kagetsu and Melty seem to follow is more akin to an Ataraxia-esque mishmash with Arc's Good End at its core, so upscaling from Melty Blood might be tricky.

All in all having a Talk./Prelude key is probably a good idea, but I feel like the rest of the profiles should be revised before giving Satsujinki a concrete placement.
