That Megamind movies is just clearly an hour long pilot for the cartoon their making. Like something similar to Return of Jafar for the Aladin series. The quality reminds me of something like the Penguins of Madagascar, Monsters vs Aliens, Puss in Boots, and Kung-Fu Panda series, though those came out quite a bit ago so I wish the Megamind series looked better.

Discord does have an actual backstory where he was King of Equestria before he was sealed away, but when I tried looking up images for it I couldn't find anything. Was that ever shown on screen or do we only hear about it?
