Heihachi vs Geese didn't exactly did well in terms of numbers and Ryu vs Jin featured a big name like Ryu
We found out what dragged views recently, also afaik even most of the s10 fights are in 1 or around 2 million range, Heiheese iirc was in one of those

Doubt Ryu alone was the reason for all views, Tekken 3 was the most popular and loved game in the series and guess who was the face of that game
Not saying Iori vs Kazuya is bad but it's not something that gonna get numbers especially when KOF popularity wise in the west ain't something to write home about
While KOF west popularity isnt as big as in south american places, given characters from it made it as guests in other titles, let alone mobile collabs with a bunch of fighters and other anime/wwe stuff, i wouldnt say like back in older seasons is not gonna be a big who

Plus even if Iori is not so known, Kazuya alone could carry it
Nemesis you can make an argument but if we're talking fighting game related wise Wesker vs Kazuya Def up there in terms of requests especially when RE is a lot more popular than before and Tekken 8 gonna be coming out this month
And despite the popularity they didnt do matches with characters who had more recent appearances then Wesker, remakes or sequels of canon line

This? This is a terrifying combination, because combining The Doctor's intelligence with Frieza's ruthlessness would be the end of the world. So I pick this.

Galactus vs Unicron still at 2 million after 3 weeks is yikes. The #1 most requested fight of all time, long overdue, and its doing above average at most

Did Frieza vs Megatron killed it? Was it done too late? Unicron got who'd

also Goku vs Superman 3 still hasn't overtaken Gojo vs Makima as the most viewed episode of the season after a month.

it seems people just lost interest in Goku vs Superman in general, which is a good thing.

1. Death Battle was way more popular then than now; obviously, GVS2 got more views in a shorter time frame. GVS3 still did great. 3.3 million in a month is great by current standards.

2. Gojo Makima is similar to Omnilander in that it was the perfect time for the match. Both are currently popular shows with a wide audience, so of course it would do better, then a fight that has been done many times elsewhere.

GojoKima is one big successful example of "strike while the iron is hot" and "reap when the crops are ripe". So is Doctor Sanchez. (So bad Eren Yeager vs Ken Kaneki or Billy Butcher are making way for this)

And KillSaka and arguably GutsMitri are converse examples in failing to do so.

There is going to be a Marvel run involving Blade fighting the Hulk it seems, I sure can't wait for 2-A Blade.

GalactusUnicron is a core audience requested MU. It doesnt quite reach status of big casual draw in like some others.
Death Battle wanted to premiere this to capture the normies who are for MCU Galactus and Bayverse Unicron. Then the MCU movies and DCEU movies flop more often than not, making even the management think: well maybe we should satisfy the core audience rather than waiting the waiting game for the normie market.

Blade vs Buffy Summers would be more relevant nowadays.

... Would post vs Hulk Blade fight Morbius the Living Vampire? 2-A (possibly Low 1-A) Morbius would be so peak.

2mil (although it took two weeks to reach 1molnit catched up Fair) but fighting game tend to be a niche for the most part while I ain't against Kazuya vs Iori it's hard to say it do beyond a average/decent range
Plus even if Iori is not so known, Kazuya alone could carry it
I could see the argument there
