Kinda sucks that DB won’t use crossovers (most of the time) because after that statement from the author of Godzilla vs kong vs justice league saying that his superman is just as powerful as his canon counterpart, I wanted to see Godzilla get superman scaling. It would have been funny.
eh given that version of clark has no feats comparable to the main clark it practically death of the author
Oh c’mon, this wiki uses author statements all the time, some characters are propped up by these statements alone
It's case by case. The fact this Author has never even written any Superman related projects makes his statement pretty questionable to use. It's the same reason why we don't take Robert Kirkman saying Invincible beats Superman seriously.

And the feats they DO have are much worse. Like Hal Jordan struggled to carry Atlantis and his constructs were breaking under water pressure while he was using considerable effort.

The DC heroes in that crossover are clearly at best like, Tier 7 lmfao.

It's an elseworld isn't it? Of course it's not going to be canon to the mainline version, it's an elseword story. You know, a story that takes place in another world.

I mean its how alternate universes/timelines work, they happened but to their own thing

Trunks timeline is canon, but it didnt happen to the main timeline, due to difference in events being changed

Or games with choices over how the story works, all can be canon, but not at the same time and place
Trunks' Future deals with alternative timelines, but those certainly are canon to main Dragon Ball story.

The whole DC thing however is "non canon story" in a setting where it was stated "all stories are canon", relative to comic stories at least. Comparing these arent the same. Its not like Superman vs Godzilla is an official alternative timeline to main DC stories, since its an elseworld story.

... or is it? Thatd be a big difference then.

But isnt everything canon in DC now?

"No, not that one"

:V
You're misinterpreting it. Else world stuff aren't part of the whole "everything is canon stuff"

Only past rebooted versions of the main universe. Pre Crisis, Post Crisis, Post Flashpoint and Post Death Metal are all the main Earth, which is what Death Battle uses.

A one off crossover isn't obviously.
