I know you're the king of garbage takes on this thread, but what exactly do you think the Champion's ballot is?

Most people willing to pay money for Death Battle content are vs community people, lol. Those are the exact kind of people who come up with weird and obscure matchups. It's losing because it's a fairly new niche idea vs 2 matchups that are a couple years old now, and one that's a decade old, despite falling off a bit.

Hell, this season's ballot winners were 2 decade old shows and two games even older than that, that aren't even relevant outside of DB requests these days. You're smoking some good stuff if you think a decent portion of the voting members aren't part of the vs community.
 
Ngl, Im not feeling Touhou vs 3rd specific version of Sonic.

And kinda worse, 4Chan has noted it too and might target Kirb even more now, since they know he suggested it.

I criticize some of the most beloved matchups because I think they have either low chance of happening or they will give low views.
I also like matchups that many users don't.
 
I agree with Seventy for the most part, the DB community is so naive and out of touch which spreads to the crew themselves sadly

Some of the many dumb stuff I've seen in the community. And yet DB keeps catering to these folks and neglect their main audience, and people wonder why views are low and even Darth Vader could barely muster 2 million views.

Yes, trust the two thousand members in your discord and keep prioritizing them, who cares about 99% of the audience?

It's the Colex effect, a very old match up that wasn't done earlier so now its supporters are going all out because they fear it would never happen otherwise. Oh well.

Eh I feel the crew mainly tiki and speedy are fairly aware of what mu has clout or not and whether it it'll do well

But yeah the community is mainly naive on what MU would actually do well and appeal to the casual audience in comparison.
