Does it matter a shirtless man or with exposed chest has nips or not

Maybe those girls or even guys into that get irked, but really bro its a little thing
It's weird because that's what the people who censored it marketed.

How are you gonna censor something you marketed to people for years?

If it was just a little perk to the game or whatever, then it's not a big deal.

"its a little thing?"

You don't understand, it's a crime that they let that man have his glorious chest out but were too cowardly to commit all the way. I think on behalf of all those who love big buff men, WE NEED to see those nipples.

Also a question prolly never asked before, what channels that react to DB nowadays are you always waiting for their reaction to see
Nemesis ig? Honestly I don't think I've watched any reactions to DB besides his.

Down bad mfs😭😭😭
True, she doesn't even look pretty.
You clowns being down bad for some nerd like A.K.I when there's more pressing matters to discuss, like how Johnny was announced for Guilty Gear Strive but they REMOVED HIS NIPPLES
Did they cover his chest or did they give him barbie doll anatomy? I hate hate hate barbie doll anatomy.
TBF, some of the stuff getting censored is Nazi imagery. It's at least SOMEWHAT understandable.
It's not understandable. They fired the people who originally created the game and then they started altering what they made. We should respect the artistic vision of the original creators. That and most people bought Skullgirls because of how it was before.

Changing a product you own after you bought it is criminal.

Just imagine how awful it would be to buy a book and for someone to come into your house to censor it, remove things and change things.

wasn’t the imagery barely nazi related?
I don't play Skullgirls (Mum said I can't play games with anime tiddies :( ) nor I plan to so I wouldn't know.

That being said I am critical of Skullgirls' censorship because it's a slippery slope. If we allow things like that to happen, it will eventually start to affect the media I consume and I don't want developers to censor games that I already bought years after I bought them.
I also don't like video game censorship in general.
They censored the nudity in Skullgirls iirc, which was something that was heavily marketed to audiences, and it's one of the main reasons why Skullgirls was so popular to begin with.
Yeah, they literally paid ZONE toons (That cartoon **** artist) to make a **** game that promoted Skullgirls.
I don't get why they're suddenly backstabbing their audience of **** addicts.

well, it's pretty obvious that they want to do that to expand, casuals are definitely not going to want to be associated with a game like that....

which seems stupid to me, because apparently the censorship affects some character stories as well, so I'm not surprised that it's going to affect the quality of the game.

they could definitely just... make a new game taking advantage of the fact that they already had an established fanbase, lol, but hey I guess it's easier to "fix" something not broken, than to have to make something new.

If they don't want to be associated, then just don't play it lmao. No one should be bending down and conforming to their opinions.
If you don't want to be associated with them, don't play, it's a stupid strategy to want to have the casuals, when the possibility of getting a good score is low.

Add to that you lose your own fans, certainly the best marketing strategy.

I don't get this. Don't do casuals play games full of characters with jiggle physics, sexualized clothes and fanservice like Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, King of Fighters and others?

Fanservice doesn't scare away casual fighting game fans or else they wouldn't like those games. But judging by the amount of fan art for those games that they make, it seems that casuals actually like fanservice.
**** addicts is a bit of a stretch, but that's not really the point.
Skullgirls was always known as the fighting game for coomers. It had a lot of coomer bait.

Casuals when jiggle physics:

you'd be surprised how many people are afraid of the physicality of the breasts lol, although well, in this case, franchises like street fighter are famous enough... and obviously don't have a reputation for being "fan service" that the casual can afford to say... "maybe there's a physicality or two, but no one will tell me anything" which is not the case with skullgirls, where the game tells you right away that there is fan service here.

Fair enough but the thing is that casuals already have this mindset that Skullgirls is a coomer fighting game. Removing those traits from Skullgirls won't make the game more liked by casuals as we could see by their active players post-censorship patch arc.

Most casuals would gravitate more towards games like Street fighters or Mortal Kombat rather than something like Skullgirls.

The only thing the censorship patch did was scare away the people who already loved the game and attract people who praise the changes yet don't play the games.

The whole Skullgirls situation is like if new devs fired the old devs of Mortal Kombat and censored the gore while claiming that the people who liked the game how it was before are awful.

At that point they would be attacking the people who previously liked the game due to how it was. MK gore fighting games lovers love the game for the gore.

The artist character avatar appears in the background of a stage too, its randomized tho

Also the creator of it got in a scandal and got cancelled, another studio took over their game, same one who did the mobile version

yeah it's a stupid mentality... but what do you expect, i doubt very much that the devs are thinking things through, when they are just making your fans leave, while you don't attract anyone new, the skullgirls situation is just an example of a "game friendly" mentality for the wrong audience.

at the end of the day, they could censor one thing or another and that's it, but well, like I said, it's just an attempt to make money out of something already done without changing anything fundamental or trying to do something new.

MK also toned down fan service in MK11, although by the premise of basically dont fight to the death in a stripper outfit basically

But then still given those outfits later on

I expect them to not censor their games just to please modern sensibilities, especially if their core audience dislike those changes.

The censorship only scared away their dead fanbase. It did not revive it.

If they wanted more players they could have done literally anything else other than censorship.

Or they could have died standing.

To be fair, while there were lot's of people that loved MK's fanservice, the main appeal of their game is the gore. Removing MK's fanservice will affect people but it wouldn't affect them as much as Skull Girls since MK fans play Mortal Kombat flr the edginess and gore.

All I’m saying is that the only people I ever hear complaining about Skullgirls’ situation are all people who have never played the game and never plan to lol. It really feels like fake manufactured outrage over shit nobody actually cares about lol.
You sure nobody cares? There was a lot of talk about it.

We're also making a statement that applies to all companies.

Are you guys actually arguing about Skull girls now?
Anyway I personally don't like the changes too though I understand that it's more a symptom of a much larger problem facing society. The game lacks it original people who made it what it is and is now helmed by new people who have have the unenviable task of making a fundamentally seedy game marketable. The issues lies in how the line of what is and isn't acceptable is set and how special interest groups spread their ideologies and limit anything they find controversial. You can't have a franchise with blatant fan service, references to an infamous **** artist and Nazi iconography even if it's for the bad guys and expect to expand your brand without a hitch. So of course they're going to neuter their own game to make it appeal to a broader demographic.
