Literally doesn't work that way. Resisting some kind of manipulation isn't the same as resisting its destruction. Resisting your mind/soul/concept being controlled isn't the same as resisting it being absorbed, destroyed, transformed etc.
It matters whether it's concept of life or death as one would need an according resistance to life or death manipulation to claim they can resist it.

Back to the match, should we take what you say to be true, Anos stuff works on those with resistance (don't need layers for that) going by the profiles so if the opponent is being changed cloud doesn't resist it either way

Doesn't need evaluation. It works on people with resistance just going by profiles so at most it's 1 layer. I don't need an evaluation for that

Conceptual absorption is slightly different. In such a case, the profile is entered specifically as "conceptual absorption" and on this basis... it may not be used directly in a battle.

If you resist a concept or a type of concept directly, you can resist all uses of that concept and it's type.

Still, well the time and space bit is mostly to explain that Spiritual Energy works at a conceptual level, but Spiritual Energy doesn't just alter things, it can create, destroy, dismantle, erase and even absorb them, all of that is what the Lifestream does as part of the cycle of life in the setting. Not really arguing for Cloud or Anos or anything, just wanted to clarify that bit.

That said, Cloud's profile is on the works to include all the new stuff. Anos is also getting updates based on the newest novels, right?
