Possibly BS but, Ch. 53 (1st chapter of International Assassins) shows that Reze was successful in leaking Denji's existence to the public, and so there's this huge hub-bub about "The Chainsaw Devil" on the news, kicking off the assassins plot.
Like in Part 2, people were still very skeptical about Chainsaw Man despite him being a celebrity superhero, but regardless, I don't think the depowerment was immediate, mainly, it occurred when Pochita started vomiting a pool of blood before Makima mentioned that she had humans eat up the fear that devils gave him in that very moment. However, that's pretty much the only sign of him weakening, but, most of it had seemed to be planned for when Pochita would finally awaken, symbolizing that Makima had planed to do this from the start likely after she got to see Chainsaw Man in action. It's an interesting thought though, what do you think?

Makima was 100% planning a huge news drop of Chainsaw Man being a hero from the start, which is why she was pressed by Reze managing to leak the news of Denji's existence early which painted him in an ambiguous light, since that messed with her plans. My question was if that newsflash, plus his showings against Santa, was enough for a new key due to fear scaling.
Yeah I get wym, however, I don't think his fear decreased to the point that he needs a new key, since nothing really indicated that he got weaker as time went on, only that it opened doors for Assassins to pester Japan.

Not necessarily, since it's news in the context of him facing Bomb in an incident with a huge amount of casualties, not news framing him as a hero for killing the Gun Devil.
It wasn't necessarily inducing fear, just questioning if he is enemy or ally to the people. They signified that he saved women but he threw car with a dude inside. Especially since they mention that he is wears a public safety suit, what I'm trying to say is that they are putting him in question to the public. Which doesn't really seem to empower him fear wise.
Okay, but if Denji wasn't powered up by fear post-Reze's news leak, then that means Post-Training Denji in general scales to Santa.

Santa wasn’t aware of her durability in general, and it's smarter to catch the arrows than to have them constantly bombard you. Transformed Quanxi was blowing Daytime Santa into sawdust, and Daytime Santa scales to baseline 8-B+ due to Post-Training Chainsaw Man. We already know that Quanxi could have easily defeated a Daytime Santa Claus even in her base form, which only makes Transformed Quanxi stronger than her base. However, Darkness-Empowered Santa Claus receives a massive power-up in darkness, making her stronger than Transformed Quanxi. The arrows could have done less damage to her body, but we never got to see it, as she simply preferred not to be hit by the arrows, which doesn’t undermine her superior durability.

Yoshida fought a casual Quanxi -> A Quanxi who is taking her opponents more seriously can harm Yoru's durability.

Well, there haven't been many horror movies about bats recently, just vampires, who are a different thing, and bats themselves aren't that freaky. She herself has freaked out a lot of people.

Scaling off Post-Traning Chainsaw Man here, also the Doll Devil is empowered of that small piece of the Darkness Devil's flesh. Her being stronger than the Bat Devil's strongest attack is not surprising, especially since she is cultivating power from a Primordial Fear.
Have you even been in a fight before, you'd usually tense up your muscles to reduce the effectiveness of your opponents punches. Compare it to when your off guard and you get punched in the stomach out of nowhere or for more scene context, when your relaxing your muscles and you get punched extremely hard.

Denji won't be catatonic, but uh, he'll still be r*ped. That's my prediction.

You know what, I also realized something. Denji's first times with anything sexual have always been kind of bad, and/or he's realized they're not all they're cracked up to be. When he was going to have his first kiss with Himeno, she was drunk and threw up in his mouth. When touched Power's boobs, he realized it wasn't this incredible, life-chaning experience he thought it would be. It was more like a, "That's it?," moment (plus, Power padded her chest). The cycle might continue here with Denji's first time being, well, not a great time, to say the least.
