Cell: It took me so long to regenerate...hmph, but I'm finally here.

(Cell senses ki from afar)

Cell: And now for that Gohan...

(Cell travels to the ki and finds Goku and Shin talking).

(Cell hides behind a tree)

Goku: What do you mean you and Beerus are connected?

Shin: You see, A kai's life force is directly connected to the designated God of Destruction of said universe. If I were to die, Beerus would die also. But at the current time, there is no one else that would be a good candidate to wield that unlimited power. So we are trying to prevent that outcome.

Cell's thoughts: Unlimited power? And all I have to do is kill that little twerp? This will be easy.

(Cell senses Goku's ki)

Cell's thoughts: Hey wait a minute, this isn't right! That's not Gohan or anyone else I know! That ki can destroy this entire universe, there's no way that could be Goku! Goku isn't that strong, he's dead! But Goku or not, I can't let him find me)

(Goku senses Cell's ki)

Goku: Hey wait a minute.

Shin: What's wrong?

Goku: Shin, don't you sense that ki? It's kinda familiar.

(Goku slowly walks to the tree)

Goku: I think the ki is right...over...

Chi-Chi (from afar): GOKU! DINNER'S READY!

Goku: Oh no! That's Chi-Chi! Better not make her mad! Bye Shin!

(Goku instant transmissions away)

Shin: I do sense that ki. Show yourself!

Cell: Hmph, gladly.

Shin: I assume you heard our conversation. You want to wield the power of a God of Destruction by killing me? It won't be that easy.

This is probably a stomp. This is a Cell that got a zenkai on top of SPC while Shin is like ssj tier.

Then why would Goku use IT to go to Chichi if he is close enough to hear her?

A couple things:

First of all, Chi-Chi shouts louder than the average individual, and secondly, Saiyans have a very good sense of smell, so even if Chi-Chi didn't call him, he'd probably know that there was food at his house.
