Cannibalized Worm: Alpha RP Thread 2

The man steps on the blade, impaling his foot before being hit in the face and knocked down. He falls to his back, but starts getting up.

@Crimson

You can't find anything on being paid for catching regular criminals. You find a kitchen knife in the kitchen.

@Stair Group

As you run for the stairs, one of the doors in the hallway busts open. A red humanoid with multiple arms steps out and starts running at your group.

@Dargoo

"Assault and Battery are on patrol."

@Stand

You make your way back to the building where you encountered the wolf but he doesn't seem to be in the area anymore.
 
S.R.E.E. instantly jumps on the muscle man and starts stabbing him in the face, she also trys to shoot him in the eye's.
 
"Guess he really did get blasted away." I then start to investigate warehouses and other suspicious looking buildings, looking for more groups of those drug-dealing gangsters I encountered earlier.

"Merlin, Blake, stop that multi-armed person in it's track."

I tell my two allies, while picking up Merlin, putting him over my shoulder so he can focus on shooting.

At the same time, i continuing running

Blake turns around and pulls out a pair of guns from her belt, raining super rubber bullets, which are not letal yet still pack quite the punch, towards the red humanoid, while running backwards.

She also utiizes Power Sight to determine the abilties of the attacker and making zig-zag lasers shoot towards him.

Merlin pull out his ray-gun, which was originally of Sun Wukong but was given to the repairer as he's a much better shot than the speedster, and tries shooting the many armed man in the right leg.

Meanwhilen Sun Wukong, Natalie and Joseph just continue running.

"A mutant !"

Wukong comment

"Says the monkey."

Natalie responds to him.

Sun Wukong pouts at that responce
 
I continue running for the stairs allowing the others to fight the mutant

I hope they can distract it while the rest of us make it out.
 
"Gotcha."

Great. Haven't met either of them yet, so now's a good time, I guess.

I connect my comm line to Battery's.

"Hey, It's Wind, the new transfer. I've flown down the coast and patrolled Boardwalk, haven't noticed any significant activity. I'm thinking of dipping my next patrol into Empire 88 territory, if you two aren't busy, an extra hand would be appreciated."

Blood starts splattering everywhere you blow up his eyes. He grabs you with both hands and kicks you off of him, sending you into the air. As you're falling, he dropkicks you midair. He is bleeding heavily from holes where his eyes were.

@Stand

You stumble onto a warehouse with a bunch of dead bodies strewn about. A different one than the one you helped slaughter earlier.

@Overlord

Blake sees that the red creature has a body modification shard. The skin on the creature visibly hardens as the lasers and bullets impact it, but it seems to have no effect on the humanoid. Its head splits in half with each half having serrated teeth on the outer edges. Its arms change shape into having sharp edges that cut off the leg that Merlin shot and throw it at him before growing it back. The beast howls before growing in mass and has an increase in bladed arms.

You make it to the stairs.

@Dargoo

Battery responds. "Sure thing, we're coming to your coordinates."

After a while, you see them standing around the ground near the building that you are on the roof of.
 
Vincent goes out of base, with his things inside a backpack.

He walks around the streets, not going anywhere in particular.
 
S.R.E.E. instantly flips back up, she zooms up to muscle man and attempts to stab him right in the center of his neck.

A guy bumps into you and falls down. He gets up and dusts his knees. He has an apologetic look on his face.

"Ah, sorry about that. Wasn't paying attention."

He walks away, moving past you.

As you keep walking, you find yourself at the Docks.

Wind jumps down, using a powerful gust of air combined with her wingsuit to cushion her fall. Landing near Battery and Assault, she walks over, waving and smiling. She was glad neither of them were involved with the vigilante incident, she wanted as few reminders of that as possible.

"Hi! Nice to meet both of you," Wind speaks up, "Those costumes are awesome!"

She pulls out her notebook and offers it for them to look over, where she drew a copy of the map Miss Militia had displayed. She had drawn a route that dipped in and out of Empire 88's territory earlier, sinking in just deep enough to see if the gang was up to any major activity.

"I'm sure they already gave you guys the laydown on my team, but I can control air pressure; which can keep me in the sky. I can keep a bird's eye view while you two are on the ground, and drop down to help when something comes up."
 
I look at the stairs

It's probably better to end up stuck on the roof than in some basement I think as I head up the stairs
 
Karmic Interlude

A man walks home to his apartment. As he walks up the stairs, he feels like something's wrong. He quickens his pace and sees that his door open. He rushes inside and stops abruptly as he sees the inside of his apartment. He falls to his knees. After a few seconds of silence, he gets a little closer to the wreckage and looks at some shards of a vase and the dust surrounding it. He mutters to himself.

"No...not you...not today...why does this have to happen to me?"

[FONT=Arial;]Searching...[/FONT]

Tears start streaming down his face.

"It's over...it's all over...I can feel the walls closing in on me now..."

He buries his head between his arms.

[FONT=Arial;]Carrier found.[/FONT]

He doesn't notice when some of the shards and dust start to float.

Arnold always thought of himself as a good person.

So why is this shit happening to me?

The gangster standing over him kicks him again.

"Listen, the sooner you give up resisting the quicker the pain stops. Now, join the crew or else."

Arnold doesn't say anything.

Ican'tjoinI'llbelonelyagainnononono.

The gangster seems to be pondering something. He whispers to his other two buddies that he brought with him. Then he turns back to Arnold.

"Okay, guess what? I have a better idea. You're a tough guy, you can take a beating. But I heard you were making some new friends right? With those people at the shelter? Here's the new plan. Either you join the gang or there won't be enough of the building left standing to know it used to be a shelter. The same goes for their bodies."

[FONT=Arial;]Searching...[/FONT]

Arnold starts shivering.

The gangster grins.

"Alright, seems like you understand wha-"

Arnold interrupts the gangster with a shout and tries tackling him.

"I'M NOT GOING TO BE ALONE AGAIN!"

The gangster backhands Arnold with ease and he falls to the ground, shaking.

"Tch. Looks like this one's no good. Alright Arnold, we're going to kill your friends and then we're going to come back for you. Don't go anywhere, you're just going to make it harder on yourself."

Nononononononononono

[FONT=Arial;]Carrier found.[/FONT]

As they leave one of the gangsters turn around to look at Arnold one last time but then his eyes visibly widen.

"Hey, what the **** is-"

The sound of a crack fills the air.

The man grabs your hand but the wrist blade goes through his palm. He holds you against a wall and starts kicking you. Alarms being to blare. This distracts the man so he lets go of you and starts heading deeper into the hallway.

You see a few men standing around a trash can, talking. The moon is visible in the sky, with few clouds floating around.

@Stand

All this searching for warehouses has led you to a different area then you've been in so far. The buildings seem broken down, and there aren't any other people in the area. You see a large figure in the sky, but can't tell what it is because of the distance.

@Overlord

[Blake didn't see any.]

@Dargoo

Assault, the one wearing the red costume, smiles.

"Right, pleasure to be working with you rookie."

Battery, the one wearing the white and gray costume with blue circuit designs on it, nods.

"Alright, let's continue patrolling."

The three of go on a route before seeing something strange. A large spike of ice is poking out of a building. As you get closer, you find a bunch of dead bodies, some of them looking like they were mauled to death by an animal. Assault and Battery both look disgusted. Battery reports it to HQ with her walkie talkie while Assault starts looking around the area.

You successfully go up the stairs and the next level is another hallway filled with grass and a corpse on the floor.
 
S.R.E.E. aims her cannon at the back of the mans neck, her A.T.S. activates and fires the perfect shot.
 
Wind lowered herself to get a better view of the massacre.

Another mass murder.

It was arguably more gruesome than the last scene, but Wind wasn't bothered by it. That in itself scared her more than the bodies themselves. Maybe she still hasn't gotten over the scenario with the vigilante, although it still shocked her out of the bliss she was previously in.

Her face was still contorted in disgust, but it didn't feel genuine. It felt tired.

"I'm going to try and get a visual on the upper floors. See if there's anything still moving. If I notice anything's up, you'll see a strong breeze rustle the trees outside."

Wind calmed any breeze that might have already been passing through the area, before stretching her arms and getting caught in an updraft. She tried to get a look in the upper story windows, making sure to keep line-of-sight with Assault and Battery.
 
Vincent, who at this point would just take anything, decides to sneakly eavesdrop on the man. He stares at the moon while doing so.
 
Why is there grass in a hallway I think before noticing the body

I head towards the body to inspect it and get idea of the cause of death or how long it has been dead
 
I run up the stairs, so does Natalie.

Meanwhile, Blake tells the others what she has found about the powers of the humanoid, while using her guns and Bullet Hell to block the throwed leg and also continue running.

Sun Wukong and Joseph decide to take on the beast, turning around and going towards it.

The Speed Monkey rushes the multi-armed man with Hyperspeed from the right and uses Shroridinger and his sword to simultaneusly slash off all of his appendences and then quickly jump away from him.

Meanwhile, Joseph attacks right after from the left with an haymaker straight on to the creature's chest.

At the same time, Merlin gives some renged support with his ray-gun, shooting the red man's right leg, while tring to avoid hitting his allies.

The man dodges the shot and stumbles over to a large door. The door splits down the middle and slides inward to the walls. The man goes inside the room.

The upper floor is empty of bodies. It seems like the conflict started on the ground floor and drew the attention of anyone that was higher up to come down.

@Crimson

The men are talking in hushed whispers.

"Did you hear about what happened to one of the Merchant's warehouses? Someone killed everyone there!"

"Yeah, I heard there was blood everywhere."

@Paul

The corpse has a large hole in it, with bits of flesh strewn about it.

@Stand

As you get closer, you see that it's a giant butterfly. The butterfly seems to be petrified mid air, the color of its whole body a light gray.

@Overlord

You and Natalie enter the next level, where you see Eden. As Wukong steps back from his barrage, the humanoid's limbs start spouting blood. The amount of blood is much more than should be possible, covering the walls, floor, and the trio in red. As Joseph goes in for the punch, the creature's chest splits open into a mouth, biting off his fist. Merlin's ray gun isn't having any visible effects on the humanoid.
 
Finding nothing of relevence, Wind lands back on the ground.

"Nothing on the upper floors. Seems everyone either booked it, or, well.."

Wind gestures to the bodies.

She assists Battery and Assault on the ground search, bending over to check if any of the bodies were still alive.

As she searches, she raises a question. "We're pretty close to Empire 88 territory. Does this kind of attack fit the M.O. of any of their capes? I was briefed on some of their members; this doesn't seem out of character for Hookwolf, but the ice doesn't ring any bells."
 
I notice the other two arrive on this floor

"Before you say anything he was like this when I got here and I think we should just get moving to the next floor." I say getting up from the body
 
S.R.E.E. stands up, she makes sure all of systems are good an starts walking towards the door muscle lad stumbled into.

Joseph: Grunt

Joseph's fist quickly regenerated back, but he sees that he can't do much to the red humanoid, so he starts retriving towards the stairs.

Meanwhile, Sun Wukong jumps again at the creature and activates Schrodinger to cut his legs off with his blade, check if he has any special type of granade, like a flashbang, in his tinkertech bag and then jump away.

Blake goes up the stairs, since while the two down can fight on their own, the three upstairs are quite lacking in the fighing compartment.

Considering i didn't hear any shooting noises, i think he's saying the truth.

"I'll trust your word."

I tell Eden, while searching for a way to continue up.

Natalie looks at the corpse

I wonder if i can revive the dead.

She thinks as she touches the corpse on the forehead and uses Surgery to try remove the wound.

Meanwhile, Merlin, who's on my right shoulder, looks around the room suspicius, ready to fire at minute notice.

As you go deeper into the Docks, you see some kanji graffiti on the walls.

Battery puts a hand to her chin.

"This is the kind of damage Hookwolf could cause...but these people are from the Empire. He wouldn't be killing his own gang members. There must be a new cape that's recently triggered."

@Stand

After walking for a while, you find yourself at a building with red lights.

@Junko

You enter a large white room with tables at the end of it. The tables have released restraints on them. Next to the tables are another large man, a smaller man, and the guy who you were fighting. On the floor, there are two corpses.

@Overlord

Sun finds a large black stick with a button on it while jumping away from the monster. The beast falls to the ground, its legs regenerating as it tries pulling itself closer to the group. You see that the stairs continue upward. Nothing happens when Natalie touches the body.

@Totadile

Varielle's large beams pierce through the walls and several doors, causing large holes. You hear various noises as the inhabitants of the hallway release themselves, being able to get the rest of the way out after she damaged their containment chambers. Varielle also sees multiple large beams come at her.
 
I look at the kanji in the wall strangely.

"Have i seen this before?" i ask myself under my own breath.

I take out my phone and take a photo of it just in case, before going deeper into the Docks. I also check out the time.
 
"I'm going to continue up." I say as I go back and climb the stairs to the next floor

Wind nods in agreement. Although she didn't doubt Hookwolf would stoop to killing one his own men from what she heard of him, this kind of massacre didn't sound right.

"The ice raises some questions though. Doesn't seem to match the way the bodies at the ground were torn apart, otherwise we'd see some of it out here. We might be dealing with two different capes, or one cape with one of the odder power sets I've seen."

...

"First the slaughter at the warehouse, now this. Empire 88 and The Merchants might start making their own moves, at this rate."
 
I, Merlin and Blake wait for the other two members of my team to reach us.

Meanwhile Natalie

Guess i am not Jesus

She thinks sarcastically.

"Here goes nothing."

Sun Wukong says as he presses the button fo the granade and throws it towards the multi-armed, then he activate Hyperspeed and rushes towards and up the stairs.

Joseph goes up the stair as swell.
