Candle vs Gabriel (Tiersetter Tourney R1M8)

An angel tries to snuff out a candle to make it through my 7-C tourney.

Candle's AP will be interpreted as 7-C, 30 kilotons.

Gabriel's AP upscales from 14 kilotons.

Speed will be equalised. Other than that, I'll be using Standard Battle Assumptions, so it'll provisionally be starting at 4 kilometers, as Gabriel's Unknown range rating for teleportation seems to at least extend that far.

Gabey has a quite big scaling chain behind 14 KT, and he can tank attacks like Jackhammer and Knuckleblaster, which can one-shot a shield that can no-sell attacks that also upscale from that value. So they should be at least comparable in stats

Gabe can escape Candle's telekinesis by teleporting (I guess?). He can also wear her down by summoning swords, throwing explosive lances, and use a bunch of homing attacks

He's also a pretty darn tough dude, so his other wincon is to outlast her

Alright, so this is how Candle usually fights. Not only does she lead with telekinesis to throw around others, but I'd imagine that this would be her way of blocking any projectile that comes at her since she was able to stop Terry Bombard (That rock monster in the clip) from approaching her from behind.

As much as teleportation can be useful for Gabriel to escape, based on some gameplay video I looked up of him fighting, he does seem to sometimes use it, albeit not all the time as he stands there for some moments before teleporting up which seems to leave a trail as to where he's going to go which would alert Candle, so she should be able to turn around and reach him with her telekinesis once again. Combined with the fact that both of them are just about even in range and that Candle has the AP advantage, and Gabriel can't really keep himself away from Candle since she would be out of his range, which would mean Candle would be given the chance to affect him with her range to block his attacks and throw him around with her telekinesis (Especially with the lifting strength advantage).

Terry doesn’t seem very agile and he’s charging at her alone before the others actually join in. She also gets caught by Camera 2. I wouldn’t say Gabe only uses teleportation sometimes, he uses it a lot, and I would expect him to straight up spam it if he realizes his opponent can just throw him away like that. Candle might be able to block some projectiles, but the fact that Gabe has a huge stamina and pain tolerance advantage and can tag an insane danmaku dodger with extremely high mobility like V1, means she would still get stressed out. Eventually Gabe would land some good hits, either with his ranged attacks or his melees if he gets close enough
