Boxing vs Pro Wrestling. Kanji Igari Vs Aaron Tide

Does he have a particular scaling chain I could see or is he simply relative to the shown feat.

Not one that benefits Igari

Restu is a bit stronger than Baki, who could overwhelm Igari (more due to speed and skill than stat, tho)

So it’s more like Igari’s AP~Baki’s AP~<Serious Retsu.

What's Igari's general mindset/what skills will he begin his fights with.
Depends who he’s fighting.

Against opponents weaker than himself he’ll usually just brawl with them with his striking and grappling techniques.

If he finds himself fighting against someone who can/is overwhelming him, he will often rely on his social influencing to trick them. Either attempting to psychologically mess with them with his words or actions, or pretending that he’s physically weaker than he actually is, in order to lower their guard for a groin kick or similar surprise attack.

He constantly uses his damage reduction in character as well.

.

Aaron is most likely the less skilled opponent, but he has high amounts of raw endurance and with his scaling chain above his AP value Igari's 2.6x AP advantage becomes more miniscule than prior.

If Aaron's life is on the line he'll resort to utilizing technique, which is a blitz worthy speed amp.

Igari doesn’t expressly go for the kill in character, at least not without reason. He likely won’t force Aaron to go into a life-threatened state, and I doubt that, based on his personality, Aaron would begin to use techniques simply because he was losing (without said loss resulting in his death, I mean).

2.6x with Aaron's scaling chain is negligible yeah. But it's important to note that Igari's dura is constantly bolstered by his own damage reduction. Which means, as long as he can ready himself to take an attack, he can endure knock-out strikes from people his level, without significant damage. Though, this wouldn't apply to technique Aaron, who would be blitzing him and thus bypassing his damage reduction.

There's also, the fact that lifting strength-wise, this is Baseline Superhuman vs Class 5. With said Class 5 being perfectly willing to use and abuse his grappling techniques against his opponents. Once Igari realizes Aaron can't muscle out of his holds, he's probably just going to trap him in a submission, or throw him repeatedly.
