Base Climb upgrade

Alright this should be simple. So Trolls can destroy a house with a single blow, which is at least baseline 9-A, and require Gold ranked adventurers to beat. As Climb is a Gold ranked ranked adventurer, he should be upgraded from 9-B to 9-A

"What's that?"

"Although it's the first time I've seen one, it's exactly like how I've heard it would be. If that's really a troll we're in trouble… Trolls are opponents that even gold-ranked adventurers would have trouble beating. Honestly speaking, Jugem and the others would probably have a hard time."

...

Enri was pointing to Nfirea, in front of them. And towering over him, the troll was raising its fist.

They couldn't reach him. The distance was just too far.

The troll's hand fell like a thunderbolt. It could destroy a house in a single blow. Nfirea was dead beyond all reasonable doubt.

As she closed her eyes, she heard the goblins gulp in surprise.

Their out-of-place response led Enri to nervously open her eyes―

does Neia have any statements of being equivalent to Gold ranked adventurer or higher in strength?

No thinking about it probably not. I don't think she's far off climb but the paladin order uses a different means of classifying (Ranks with squire, paladin knights, ect) levels/strength and I don't remember us hearing anything about where she sits in comparison to adventurers so we can't really judge. Still fine with climb scaling.

Is it gold ranked adventurers, as in, any adventurer in general, or an adventuring party? It makes a big difference.

i'm pretty sure whenever talking about multiple adventurers of the same rank or something needing multiple adventurers of that rank to beat, it's clarified with "multiple/several (x) ranked adventurers" or "a party of (x) ranked adventurers" / "an (x) ranked adventurer party"

Hmm I feel semi confident is scaling climb to this though we could note he scales below this if it's decided it would take more then a single gold rank.

Neia with her bow could damage Diadem Demon which is stronger than Scale Demon which is took Blue Rose + Gazef to defeat. Also her armor could easily deflect balista bolts, which could penetrate castle stone walls.

True but we already note her equipment makes her far stronger then she otherwise would be which makes it a bit difficult to judge her normal strength/level.

Asking because Climb would have a very hard time against a troll even if they are at the same level, mostly due to the regen that he can't really deal with. While, say, a gold ranked caster with fire spells would have a much better chance. You don't necessarily have to be comparable in AP to beat a foe.

We should wait for the calc using the houses from Overlord to see how far into 9-A trolls are. If they turn out to be really close to baseline, it might not be reasonable to say that a single gold-ranked adventurer is comparable. If they turn out to be really far into 9-A, then it should be fine.

welp, Bambu says a calc isn't really reasonable, and even disagrees with using the statement for baseline 9-A, as it didn't actually destroy a house in a single blow

True; the statement that "It could destroy a house in a single blow" could be interpreted to mean that it just causes the house to collapse, without actually destroying the whole thing on its own.

Maybe "At least 9-B" would be acceptable?

It could be, but that is adding some assumptions to the statement. It doesn't really state anything to outright suggest collapsing the house.

Should work as it allows us to acknowledge he could be higher we just don't have the feats yet to be sure (though knowing what I do about the next volume I doubt we're going to see climb fighting much in the future...)

Andy is correct about our general standards. It seems like we have reached an agreement in any case.
