A lot actually. They're very thought out and well written, not power fantasy novels.

At one point, I decided I wanted to cram a bunch of genres into one novel and make my beautiful abomination, my Fantasy Sci-Fi Action Romance novel, with vague Horror elements.
I'm like 4 chapters in and I've realized I don't know how to pad for time as well as other authors.

Surprisingly. Kubo made Reishi footstools and aerial combat to prevent needing to draw huge ass backgrounds so he can get chapters out consistently

Yeah, It'd be a herculean task to get that out just on your own without a specific schedule. Even monthly creators have assistants.

Oh wait, I think I heard about that (not sure where I heard it, maybe in this thread or on reddit or from Tekking). Something about Bleach fights purposefully happening in areas where there's not a lot of stuff that can be drawn in the background and what not. Or perhaps I mixed it up with another manga. Either way it's a smart method.

Finally someone said it except me. People talk shit like "Bleach has no swordsmanship" *****, THEY USE SWORDS AS A MAIN POWER SYSTEM, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? These are usually the type of people to glaze other sword anime like Demon Slayer despite them having like one relevant sword v sword fight

By the way, I hate it when people say Ichigo has no BIQ and just swings a sword. He has shown to have some of the best Zanjutsu in the series unironically, and the fact he became such a fighter as a teenager (mind you he'd be a baby in shinigami years) is purely insane. He also has some of the best BIQ feats out of the non-EG characters
