BAN-KAI! Bleach General Discussion

Reiryoku- dormant spirit energy
Reatsu- effectinve amojbt of reiryoku under use
All the species in bleach are born with reiryoku and use spiritual energy. Just all has different mechanism
 
Quincy actually do not produce any native Reiryoku naturally. Unless they take reishi from the environment and convert it to Reiryoku inside them, they don’t have any Reiryoku to exert as reiatsu.
 
I just had a realization… not saying it will happen, but they could make Renji transcendent. Especially if they go down the route of he’s fused with his Zanpakuto. And if they do, shit maybe he did sense Aizen lmao, if that happens I owe TOAA an apology

All the species that can fight spiritual entities posses reiryoku. Human, hollow, fullbring, quincy every species. We literally see quincies fighting spiritual entities without absorbing reishi. So yes they posses reiryoku as well which is dormant spiritual energy

Frankly uryu's scaling to senjumaru itself is iffy and questionable.
Also it's totally baseless to think the uryu that fought renji would be same as the version who beat senjumaru who had mimihagi mark on his hand.

Reiryoku isn’t dormant spirit energy, Reiryoku is just how you say spirit energy in Japanese lol. And no read like the late chapter 40s where Quincy mechanics are explained. In fact I think someone sent the scan recently in this chat.

Doesn’t change the fact that they need to posses spiritual energy to damage spiritual entity. They do not exerts reatsu don't mean they do not posses spiritual energy. So yes, quincies definitely posses spiritual energy like every other race.

It's not about disappearing or not. Both are simply different versions and posses different level of power.
Mimihagi mark makes it very clear.

So yeah, renji doesn’t scale to the same one that scales to senjumaru that fact still stands tall

Why feder Zwinger would nerf his shikai and bankai right now?
If he just healed he can just go back on his own fighting.

He just not strong enough to fight Gerard, that’s it.

Uryu directly stated that it nerfs his Shikai and Bankai, which we also see is the case because his Bankai at the end of his fight was only a skeleton compared to the actual Soō Zabimaru. But again, we'll see if the nerfs still affect him, but I predict that they're still in effect. If not, oh well.

We'll see how it goes, but I think that scene was a way to balance out the scaling, although it really wouldn't be the worst if Byakuya, Kenny, and Toshiro scaled to him since

1. Byakuya got the same training as Renji

2. Kenpachi became a top tier in CFYOW, which means the scaling would just happen earlier

3. Toshiro is special idk

If he is healed, him being nerfed would be utterly baseless.

Waiting for adult toshiro's massive upgrade. He really deserves it though I don't like him. I have no idea why he is people’s favorite.
 
It’d be nice if we see Renji use Bankai against Gerard so we can get confirmation on his current state/condition.

But Uryu did shoot him through his Shinigami organs too, so if he hasn’t had any time for that to recover he probably is nerfed. I believe a similar thing left Shuhei out of commission for a long long time. We also know that healing someone doesn’t guarantee their reiatsu and Reiryoku is fully restored, we see this when Orihime heals people.
 
Who are the people that fight Gerard in the manga? I only know about 3, and I'd like to know if someone who wasn't present shows up when the anime does the fight.

Some of the Vizard do (Shinji, Love, Hiyori, Hachigen), Renji, Rukia, Zaraki, Byakuya, and Toshiro, and Momo. I think that’s it from the manga, although it was really only Renji, Byakuya, Zaraki, and Toshiro that really ever did anything lol

That and we don't know if the healing recovered his power either. We definitely know Orihime could've gotten rid of it with Shun Shun Rikka, but based on the location it would be hard for Renji to get treatment from her.

Actually I’m pretty sure Orihime says she has a hard time restoring Reiryoku opposed to just healing wounds
