In the The Rise of Kyoshi novel it was stated that Avatar kuruk destroyed an island when he went into the avatar state. Is it valid?

If no time frame was given then I doubt it. However if they are already close to 6-C then a possibly/likely Island level could work.

That does sound like a "likely" Island level, maybe even a solid Island level. Since they talk about destruction on a "grand scale" and that the island "wasn't there anymore". Plus it wouldn't be a real stretch to say the avatar state can destroy an island given how powerful it is made out to be.

I think a possibly 6-C is fine. Mostly cause it's the only feat on that level I can think of the avatar has shown to do. The others are more tier 7 iirc.
