The Avatar vs One For All

The Avatar is a reincarnated spirit where the current Avatar is able to communicate with previous incarnations as well as gain their experience, skills, and abilities.

One For All is a stockpiling quirk combination passed down through 9 different users, all enhancing and improving the quirk for its ultimate use by the ninth user. It allows for the ninth user to receive all previous quirks from previous users while also being able to converse with them in real time. Thus, gaining their knowledge and wisdom when it is most needed.

Aang vs Izuku Midoriya. Speed Equalized. Based on their AP and durability both are equally capable of “one-shotting” each other.

Aang: 0

Deku: 0

Inconclusive: 0

I'm pretty certain that the "higher" durability ranking for Aang's air shield is supposed to be 5-C. Otherwise it doesn't make sense for Korra's durability in the avatar state to be 5-C while Aang with shields isn't.The current durability section was written by Shmeatywernbenmanjenson, who frequents the avatar thread, tho it looks like he hasn't been on the chat for a while.

It looks like Deku doesn't have durability negation, so he won't be able to bypass the shield.

Does the Avatar State have a time limit? I don’t remember if that was a thing or not.

Regardless though, Aang was killed by a lightning blast from Azula while he was in the Avatar state. She’s definitely not 5-C.

Charged-up lightning is treated as a one-hit kill in-universe unless its blocked by metallic clothing. Aang wasn't fully in the avatar state at that moment, as he was mastering it for the first time. He also didn't have the shield around himself.

As for a time limit, Aang was in the avatar state the entire time he was in the iceberg for a hundred years (with wog saying Raava triggered that state to protect him) so there's no time limit.

AS Aang stomps whoever is in his way well before his stamina is ever a thing, even with far weaker versions from not mastering it.

As for how long it lasts? As Brackish said, the best showing in the series by far is him using it for 100 years in the first episode but he definitely can’t use it for that long now since we also know that he only lives another 50-60 ish years and that he died in his physical 60s (spiritual 160s) because of having used it for so long. This was considered an early death for him by the writers and the only other Avatars who we know of that died from old age and the ages they were at the time are Kyoshi and Kuruk. The former was 230+ while the latter was in his early 30s and only died because of how much spirit world shenanigans and illness he was dealing with at that time (Kyoshi wasn’t doing anything nearly as spiritually taxing). A normal woman from the Northern Water Tribe like Kanna reached her 80s in the poor conditions of the South Pole so Kuruk’s original lifespan should be the same as hers considering he was also from the Northern Water Tribe but didn’t have to deal with the constantly declining conditions and the best care in the world as the Avatar.

Tl;dr, if a far larger strain on Kuruk’s soul than Aang’s AS reduced his lifespan by over half, Aang here should be able to go for 20-30 years if need be.

Lightningbending is dura neg and Aang was lacking defenses of any kind at the time. Bro just got blasted in the back and died lol. The moment Aang uses AS, he kinda sweeps so the match up boils down to whether or not Deku can land his hit before Aang gets pressed to use it. If Aang starts in AS, this would be a stomp whether or not the dura section lists 5-C dura since the air ball is used offensively by Aang to just body slam things.
