Actually you need Mid-Godly regen to resist EE

You're both right and wrong, there are different types of EE, some only erase physical body (for example Ichigo's Mugetsu), and you can regenerate your physical body from that if you got Low-Godly regen, because your soul still exists, but there are also types of EE that erase your soul (like Hakai) and you need Mid-Godly regen for that, because you need to also regenerate your soul.

Wouldn't soul manipulation resistance work against Hakai, or wouldn't it be ineffective if they had no soul?

I'm not knowledgeable on Dragon Ball enough to confirm this, but I think it also erases your mind. Not having soul would possibly make it harder to regenerate from Hakai, as there's no thing to regenerate from I guess.

If someone has soul-hax resistance on some damn good scale then maybe they can survive their soul being erased and regenerate from that.

Yes Vergil is more skilled than Asta but it's not like Asta is a newbie swordsman tho, he also has AD which both increases his strength through near death situations or when fighting opponents massively stronger than him, and makes him learning new skills or abilities in the middle of the battle. Vergil has a 4× AP advantage but he can shorten the gap due to AD (Let's not forget Asta is a pretty resistant punching bag). Finally he has ki sensing allowing him to read Vergil's next moves.

We should not forget that this Asta has speed amps (he has prior knowledge so he will use them) and can blitz Vergil.

Speaking of Devil Trigger, Vergil doesn't start with DT so he's at speed disadvantage for some time until he decides to use it.

This match is not as one-sided as you guys may think despite AP/skill gap.

During second Dante battle he used Devil Trigger few times, and it's this Vergil

Vergil's fighting style mainly depends on teleporting and kicking your ass with Yamato (his sword) or Beowulf (CQC weapon), so it should be useful

This is concept manip type 3 but it is unknown how it is done and he only gave names back, he should be able to take them away but it is not combat applicable atm.
