Hela can only be killed if Asgard is destroyed, and was strong enough to easily defeat Thor even outside of Asgard. She also drains power from Asgard, which means she'll grow more and more powerful during the battle, even being distant from the place (or, since there is no place in the post, she could be in Asgard).

Also, does Ares' power growing ability matter while he is getting impaled by a series of spikes coming from underground?

Still vote for Hela.

So it's a casual murderer with a skill set that rivals Asgard's best vs a War God that gets stronger the more you fight him.

Honestly between the two, it feels a lot more even now that I think about it. I'm going to change to an inconclusive.

Grace period?
If combatant A reaches at least 7 votes with at least 3 votes more than the combatant B, the match goes through a 24 hour grace period so that anyone who wants to vote or give their counter argument can do so before it's officially closed.

If the 24 hours goes by and combatant A with more votes still has at least 3 votes more than combatant B, then combatant A is declared the winner.

As of the moment, it's Hela (10) and Ares (7).

He could teleport to dodge those spikes, because his teleport range could be from UK to Belgium (in my theory). He swiftly disappears again as soon as Wonder Woman slashes her sword at Ares, promptly reappearing some distance away. And he also has enhaned reflexes. For example: when Wonder Woman first swung a massive piece of debris at him with her Lasso of Hestia, Ares swiftly flew out of the way, and proceeded to dodge and counter many of Diana ensuing attacks. Also he could fly to doge those spikes much easier than just stand on the ground

Also it should be noted that while Hela destroyed Mjolnir (solid island level feat) Ares was able to stalemate Zeus who could create and island on his literal deathbed, also the claim that Hela can only die with the annihilation of Asgard is not applicable in my opinion as Ares has a similar statement for his immortality (which are both fairly NLFish)

Hela's island level rating is from when she destroyed Mjolnir, outside of Asgard, deprived of Asgard for what, a thousand years? And just as she was finally let out of Hel.

She's an indeterminate amount stronger since then as she stayed in Asgard for a while.

And even then that is casual. She didn't strain or anything like it. Hela is probably one of the strongest 6-Cs we have.

Same thing with Zeus and Ares since Zeus was on his last legs when he did the whole creation of Themyscira thing, meaning he is an indeterminate amount stronger at his peak (especially with his forcing back Steppenwolf with his thunderbolts). There is also the fact the battle with Hela would doubtlessly fuel his powers (especially since she probs wont use the power of love to win)

I think Ares needs an upgrade with a separate key due to Justice League so depending on the version it could go either way in my mind.

Surprising result, Ares was leading. Anyway someone should edit the first post, since it'll be confusing if someone clicks this thread and sees Ares leading when Hela is supposed to be the winner.
