Thats the equivalent of randomly saying justice league 2018 is non canon
Characters in vertigo straight up just appear in mainline comics like swamp thing and constantine

One of the arguments is it contradicts the DC cosmology in almost everything. Also this "Despite being published by Vertigo comics, the Unwritten is not canonically part of the wider DC universe

No it doesn't contradict anything, and DC has multiple creation myths. Unwritten is definitely canon
