Gohan got like 3 or 4 pages to shine then jobbed. His unlocked potential was already kind of useless. Then he did nothing with it in GT. Super came out decades later and still had him be useless for the majority of the anime until the ToP where he suddenly used Ultimate to contribute something to fights..

Frankly it's not until the late-2010s or so that Ultimate stopped being a worthless power up. So it being surpassed in the original manga by Goku is really nothing worth complaining about.

You could argue CSSB Goku or CSSB Vegeta from the Moro Saga. If you believe the Gammas are Moro Saga SSBE/UIS-level and that Goten and Trunks are relative to them in SS1.

What's the lowest lowball for Base Goku? It's crazy how wild the Manga Super Hero scaling made these characters. Chapters 97-103 just heavily upscaled them.

Well, we see SS1 Vegeta fighting Base Broly. The Broly movie is considered canon to the manga so that would mean Wrathful Broly scales to CSSB-level in that movie, making Base Broly 1/10th of that or 5x SSG-level. Divide that by 50 and SH Base Vegeta would be 1/10th the power of Broly Saga SSG Goku/Vegeta...and I have some very crazy scaling from the Manga's ToP that would make the anime version look tame.

So it can go something like:
  1. Post-SH SS1 Gohan ~ Post-SH SS1 Goku > Moro Saga SSBE Vegeta = Moro Saga UIS Goku = Gammas = SS1 Goten = SS1 Trunks > Moro Saga CSSB Goku = Post-SH Base Goku
  2. SH Base Broly ~ SH SS1 Vegeta > (5x) > Broly Saga SSG Goku > (10x) > SH Base Goku
Trying to go lower than that might be a bit difficult. Given that Granolah Saga Base Goku could keep up with SS1 Vegeta via using the UI ability. And SS1 is all Vegeta felt he needed to face Base Broly in sparring.

All in all claiming that SH Base Goku is akin to ToP SSG Goku would be a reasonable lowball given the scaling stated and shown. And that's ignoring that Broly kept growing stronger after that and has been training for weeks on Beerus' Planet.

As matter of fact, Toriyama also stated that both side during the Majin buu arc, were keeping transforming to became stronger and stronger. If Buu transformed in Pure buu at last, how can he be weaker if both side keep get stronger?

This fully matches Toriyama's logic, remember he said new enemies must always be stronger.


SEG which also recaps all the event up to Pure Buu from, in chronological order, super buu, gotenks, buhan, vegetto, lastly stated that the Buu Goku was fighting was a powered up version of Buu!

So Goku was fighting against something stronger than Buff Buu which is even way stronger than Super Bu! That's more impressive than anything Gohan did.

Hence he can't be weaker!

It's hard to say, how much strong is Goku, he's definitely stronger than Gohan, however there are lot of information that say even just manga-wise, Pure Buu is the strongest.

This, even ignoring, like dozen of anime related sources that are still official material which blatantly confirm all of this on a whole higher degree, they just amplify this a lot, as usually anime does.

The authors of Dragon Ball KAI stated they wanted to be absolutely faithful to the dialogue of the manga, but they still wanted to keep all the dialogues that put Pure Buu above every other Buu.

The magical, inexplicable post-Fusion amp boosting one of the constituents beyond the level of the Fusion. I had completely forgotten about it.

I don't think he'd be stronger than Super Vegito. Vegito would also be far stronger than Kid Buu
 
I'm new here so I don't know how to use VS Battles's forum very well. So I saw DBGT's speed tiers were updated from MFTL+ to Infinite because it was conceded that the Dragon Ball universe is infinite within this thread and the claim was proved by guidebooks scans that are primarily for the manga. So if we concede that the universe is infinite by guidebooks made for the manga in the first place, why nobody, who scales to/or above BoG Goku who is "comparable to the speed of the explosion [...] which threatened to engulf the entire universe in mere moments", has been upgraded with Infinite speed?

Because the blue-haired woman is really really smart and that means she knows everything about her world, apparently. Mind you, I vehemently disagree with GT or Toei being infinite (outside of Instant Transmission because Toei IT is wacky) in speed at all.

it was also told by a guy who basically does not know anything beyond the galaxy, THE GALAXY, not the universe, he is just the police officer of a galaxy, less a universe (and it is shown several times the universe has a very visible and perceptible edge) the guy never even says the universe is infinite he just says there are countless galaxies, which does not mean infinite by the way.
also he has no cosmic awareness

Crazy. Because we see Jaco go to other parts of the universe that would be outside of the Milky Way. And we also know the universe has its own version of the internet. Which Jaco frequently uses. Meaning he would have a broader awareness of the universe from that. It's also crazy because Jaco knows how to reach Zuno when Elec did not. Additionally so when we know the Galactic Patrol is around 10 million years old and directly worked with the Grand Supreme Kai to apprehend Moro.

Either crazy or...you're full of crap.

i can go to another city or another place in my entire city, and i memorise those places, that does not mean that i know every city in every country of the earth...now imagine the universe.
even with the internet, that still does not mean you have the knowledge of everything, is just you having knowledge.
why are you comparing ******* Elec, who is basically like a space criminal and barely has connections to travel across the universe and know everything and everyone...to Jaco?
but i want a actual statement from someone, in this universe (no better said)that the universe is infinite, and not say something like "there are countless galaxies"

the evidence for the universe being infinite is using guides from like 30 years ago that basically have no proof of being relevant today, do you think they are timeless or something?
