All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

Even if they scaled to the IT it'd be a massive outlier so... kek
Not really, if we’re talking Toei Goku. It’d just be like “Infinite Within IT Dimension,” and then MFTL+ normally. Goku and Cooler only achieved that speed via that Dimension, and Vegeta actively can’t react to them despite being Goku’s equal.

For Super Goku? Ehhh, probably an outlier, yeah. Granolah out moved “Faster IT” twice and then Goku fought a stronger and faster Gas, but we clearly see that his IT is able to make him appear to match Goku mid fight even though he vanished explicitly after by a few panels.

You fool, his instant transmission got instanter.

Dmc characters have immeasurable speed for a mention similar to this one.
Death Battle fans hate this site because it doesn’t meatride DC comics, lmao. I used to consider them one of the strongest fictional verses
Fax, they always used the word "dimension" out of context to wank dc to infinite dimensional, and it turns out that dc cosmology is not even outerversal as was believed.

Worth trying?
First things first, we’d have to prove “faster than instant transmission” refers to outpacing the instantaneous spatial displacement rather than being faster than the time it takes for Goku to raise his fingers and activate IT in the first place. There’s gotta be at least one panel like that, right? Where Goku disappears, and Gas/Granolah or someone else arrives before Goku reappears somewhere else?

Yes. Granolah with Gas.

i think the easiest way Dragon Ball could get infinite speed is with Instant Transmission, we just need a statement confirming that it has 0 time between teleporting and appearing
I'm pretty sure there's actual evidence that there is tangible time between disappearing and re-appearing (like human characters reacting to something happening before Goku pops out of TELEPORTATION ZONE again)

Even here you can hear the appearing and disappearing effect. Cell could somewhat react.

Look at the downgrade starting hot (to match the New Year)

Yes, but actually no.

You see, this never occurs, not as it’s seen (as in the ACTUAL Teleportation Zone). The main Z Anime’s use of IT (not the films) are fairly faithful to the Manga (which notably does not have a Teleportation Zone).

The Teleportation Zone only “exists” and was made up in the Z movies, and no one reacts to it. SSJ Vegeta can only react to the consequences of Goku and M.Cooler’s fight as they enter and exit reality—(such as when they make contact with the floor)—And in the first Broly film, where Goku only is seen to use IT to travel the universe to follow Broly’s Ki (but he only found destruction, which shouldn’t be possible based on how IT works—It takes you directly to Ki Signatures when traveling long distances, and when a Ki Signature moves it takes you to that. Goku also appears in lifeless rubble where Ki doesn’t exist, which again, should not be possible.)

That’s not to say it doesn’t apply to the Anime—They’re apart of the same continuity and the like, (obviously it’s the opposite, and the films do apply), but it does mean that the movies are actively embellishing the mechanics of the move and they don’t coincide with the Anime’s use outside of the fact they are forced to. (Similar to how the Garlic Saga and film MUST be canon to GT despite it being physically impossible for the first film to exist in the timeline—Same with Cooler’s Revenge. They don’t actually coincide based on any actual standard of observation, but they are FORCED to coincide due to continuity.)

Welp time to go grab the popcorn

Fun Fact: It was verbatim stated once in the anime I believe that the Instant Transmission technique turns the user into light and allows them to travel at light speed (Goku even specifically mentions the speed of light in miles per second).

This statement is so unimaginably, inconceivably inconsistent, that it makes me wonder if the people who wrote this line were even thinking. I mean holy shit how little can you care about the series you are making.

Anyways this whole argument about IT is silly to me. Idk what started the debate but I swear to god if people are unironically trying to argue infinite speed for DB, I don't even know what to say to you guys💀. There are situations where just saying "argument from incredulity xd" or "PiS" or anything else is not a valid counterpoint. If we were taking things that far, we outta just abandon any common sense, upgrade the whole verse including OG Dragon Ball to Low 1-C and immeasurable, give Tori-Bot a tier 0 page, and call it a day.
