A very important notification

Possibly, but there is always a risk that sooner or later somebody will fall for it.

They are not trolls anymore after all that they have done at this point. Just criminals who are attempting to harm others for fun.

This situation is getting absurd. Ant is correct, this is beyond just trolling, it is outright criminal activity.

A summary of what they have done in the past:

  • Uploaded over 2000 images and 500 videos to various **** sites in the names of me and other wiki members, just so they would show up in any Google search.
  • Bombarded our message walls with hundreds of instances of disgusting **** and gorn.
  • Spammed the wiki chat with links to the same.
  • Bombarded us with elaborate, and recurrently genocidally bigoted, death and rape threats.
  • Attempted to insert **** links into our pages, including child **** in one case.
  • Started moving around our pages in chaotic manners, to the point that the wiki had to be protected.
  • Changed the topics of our discussion threads.
  • Impersonated me in different forums to spread extreme slanderous misinformation.
  • Messaged us with links that may lead to malware.
Mind you, I am the kind of person who is very for the freedom of speech, including for views that I disagree with, as it is necessary in order to have a functioning democracy rather than a systematically brainwashing thought-crime tyranny, but this stopped being harmless trolling and entered obsessively sadistic criminal harrassment and stalking territory long ago.

It's true, people are very religious about their favorite verses being rated "too low" with verses opposite of their favorite verses being "too high."

No, I have been dealing with this particular group for 2 years now, but that is bad enough.

He's dealt with lighter trolling years before that for sure such as with BG and his followers; it's just the "Terrorist" levels of trolling has started in 2017.

BG was never anywhere near this bad. I long suspected that he might have accidentally inspired others though, since he kept talking badly about us via Google+ in front of thousands of people for several years, until the platform was retired, but again, he was nowhere near this bad.

As someone who loves freedom of speech. As a writer, I hate the misuse of it. Now I dont mean that in the authoritarian sense, I mean that in the "I cant believe you just did that, you need a life." Sense. Trolling is honestly one of the dumbest things you can do and it is a bad representation of humanity. So dumb. My sympathies Ant.

I dont mean that in a 'lock them up' sense tho. It is just stupid and a personal pet peeve to see. Time is so valuable, yet some people waste it.

That's what I said. BG was before it got really serious and he himself was never near as bad; it started with Jirenchi (I believe it was?) is where it got really bad. And then he gave up and other people started doing it and getting worse.

Well, elaborate stalker-level death and rape threats are technically very illegal, as is spreading malware.

Jirenchi (not his original username) started getting the trolls organised, yes. He may still be involved for all that I know.

Ant joined in 2014 tho
He joined Wikia in 2014 Wikipedia in 2006. I believe. I think it's BeyonderGod who's his biggest enemy. But I've been in the same situation as Antvasima Execpt far worse considering I wasn't even 13 at the time.

The links im posting can be viruses if i want them to be, but what it mostly does is shows me whoever clicked the links address, ISP, Country, device, web browser, etc.
As I stated previously: The "trolls" now seem to have started to try to hack our computers by logging our IP addresses. You should under no circumstances click on any suspicious links whatsoever.

In the event a user has clicked on such a link, how will they know they have done so, & what steps should the user take?

You should probably change your IP (you can do it easily by restarting your modem), and you should start using a VPN.

Ogbunabali is correct. Although if you have a stationary IP, you may need to call your service provider for help.

Has this issue been reported to Fandom directly? I don't know what exactly they could do about it, but if this is a problem that could happen anywhere, anytime on Fandom by anyone, then this is an extraordinarily important problem.

Thank you, I think that's all we'll need to know. As a quick personal recommendation, I will use the Opera browser from here on out when accessing this website, due to it having a free in-built and effective VPN. I would recommend others do the same, or at the very least look into getting some kind of VPN.

I have received another message with evidence of that he received information about the people who clicked on his links: https://tenchi.fandom.com/wiki/Thread:5065

Ant it's best not to respond to them and just ignore and report them to Fandom.

And to everyone that's clicked the link I would strongly recommend you change your IP.

Well, it can still potentially cause damage to our community. I have asked Fandom and the Dev wiki about installing automatic warning messages for outgoing links.

Yeesh. Thankfully my IP wasn't on that list; didn't click the links.

For Chrome users: hover your mouse over a link you want to click but don't click it. You will notice in the lower left-hand corner it displays what the link redirects to. If it's different than what's on the post, report and we'll ban 'em and wham'em.

Even still, if you want to be careful, don't click any links that aren't from established and reliable users on the site.

@Kepekley23

My apologies for removing your message, but as you have told me in the past, it is best to be very careful about our language in Fandom.

I tried to avoid very bad words, but we can't deny that is what this is all about.

Just to note half of this is just raw talk from those trolls. It is impossible to track an address just through IP. All they can get is the location of your internet provider and the city you live in. Anything more than that is impossible.

Just as an example, my internet provider is several hundred kilometers away from my house.

Okay. It is still safest to constantly use VPNs though.
