Red's most useful Pokemon in this situation would be Charizard, as it is useful against the Zora and Deku, but the moment Link sees this, he'll immediatly switch to the Goron, although Blastoise could help with this. Unfortunatly, Link will proboably start with in his normal form, as it isn't in character to start with a transformation. Gotta go for incon, as each character has something to counter each other except for the Goron, but the likelyhood is that Red would keep him at bay with Hydro Pump, or maybe, if he's powerful enough, Vine Whip.
