Just testing if I can still comment here, I'm sorry if it bothers you, but the news that commenting and editing might not work makes it a requirement to do so somewhere.

Also, wouldn't it be good to put some short instructions on how to confirm our email addresses and unsubscribe from news? It didn't feel intuitive for me.

it's easy actually, but it should be noted you will have bit problem if you sign up using deleted Facebook account which is my case.

I figured it out and I'm confirmed. The rest of this post is for those who are lost.
Click your avi that's in a circle in the right corner of your screen. Go to "my preferences". Click on the e-mail tab. Under the "address" subsection at the very top, you'll see "my e-mail address" and a blank white line. Enter your e-mail on said line and hit "save" at the very bottom of the page. And voila.

This is how you confirm your e-mail, if it's already confirmed then It should say it in the same place.

To unsubscribe from news then go to disable all e-mails, it is on the e-mail tab too, click the only option in that section and save.

He was banned for multiple reasons; including wank/downplay but more so rude behavior. And once he was banned, he created that many socks and kept on trolling in chat. JSW was banning them like crazy and then Julian and I helped. After that, Soldier Blue had to take care of the rest with real bans since Discussion Mods can only Chat Ban.
