Yamcha downscales from Goku in this key, who one-shotted a giant bear who was 48 Megajoules. Goku was only able to fight martial arts masters in the 21st Budokai Saga (Which comes after the Pilaf Saga). In this key, the only characters Goku fought were mobsters and large animals, and as I mentioned before, he easily defeated Yamcha when he was no longer hungry or tired.

Nope, again that mechanic doesn't really exist in Comics. You retain your strength level while shrunk unless you have happened to master the Pym Particle axis like Lang.
