8-A Early-Game Hunter?

Why is the Hunter from Bloodborne 8-A from comparing the speed of their Kirkhammer swing to a lightning attack in the Fishing Hamlet? That place is a late-game area.

Because the Kirkhammer is still an early-game weapon. And the speed that the Hunter swings it with does not change as the game progresses

Yeah, but The Hunter gets stronger as the game progresses, so it isn't much of a stretch to say they get faster, too. In addition, attack speed in, say, Skyrim doesn't change either, except in certain conditions like investing in dual wield perks or using elemental fury, but Dovahkiin goes from a subsonic in early game to and immeasurable at end game, so that honestly sounds more like game mechanics. And like in the case of God of War, game mechanics keeps Bloodborne from just turning into a boring Flash sim at end game by keeping the attack speed of both enemies and player consistent throughout.

Also the Fishing Hamlet isnt a late game area its accessible soon after you beat Vicar Amelia
It's the area immediately preceding a Great One boss, which at bare minimum puts it at a mid game level, seeing as Rom, a Kin who is somewhat comparable to a Great One and serves as the thematic shift from Gothic to Lovecraftian is fought in the mid game. In addition, unless you're a Bloodborne god, Ludwig, the first non-optional boss of the DLC, will 100% lay you out if you fight him just after Amelia.

Mid-Game is any area that can only be accessed leading up to and after Rom but before Micolash. Any area before that is considered Early Game

Even when it's blocked by two 7-C bosses and a 5-A, and immediately precedes another 5-A boss? You have an odd notion of what constitutes an early game area.

Yes. The Soulsborne games in general are all over the place with their bosses lore-wise, you can go from fighting a 7-C to a 4-C to a 5-A to a 4-C and then back to a 7-C all over again

Dark Souls 3 is the only one that I'd say is truly convoluted about that, what with fighting a god tier in the early game. The rest are actually fairly good on that front for the amount of non-linearity they have.

Fishing Hamlet is late in the sense that you have to kill a 5-A to even get there but

You swing the hammer at the same speed regardless of point in the game. Whether we take the lightning as actual lightning is different but for now the 8-A rating is legitimate.
