i mean he slightly stagger thanos and took hits from him too iirc and was The only one outside of stark who helped restraining thanos physically

Not really, Tony got hit multiple times by his finger beams and was fine, whereas Ultron got badly damaged by Tony's Micro Missiles (2) and Repulsor beam, and got One Shot by a Wrist Missile.
