As I've had all of my verse's pages deleted for them all being horribly outdated at this point, the Grand Oculoid should be removed from his position as the Strongest 5-C.
I've decided it'd be best if all of my verse's current pages were deleted, which can be found on the verse page. I made everything far earlier than I should have, and as a result I've come to feel the pages aren't of a quality I'm proud of anymore. Considering its been nearly two or three years...
I agree that this is a mismatch. Apologies for the unsatisfying end to the thread, as the Abysswalker deserves a better match than this, but the Oculoid's keep away strategy and BFR counters him incredibly hard here.
Actually, the Standard Battle Assumptions page states "The characters start as far away from each other as the highest range of the fighters is, but a maximum of 4 kilometers. If through this distance extreme advantages are given to one party a balanced alternative should be discussed in the...
Yeah, Telekinesis probably won't help here, then. However, he has other ways of getting the Abysswalker inside of a portal. For instance, he could try to bait him to run into one, such as by portaling to another universe and opening a portal in front of the Abysswalker with a clear view of him...
Sorry for the long response, I can't write concisely to save my life.
That... definitely complicates things for the Grand Oculoid. Note to self: never underestimate D&D again. Way more powerful than it seems at face value.
I see, so the AP advantage might not even be there and could, in fact...
I hope I didn't miss anything, but I've been typing (and retyping) this for far too long now so I should probably just post it.
I'm going to have to side with the Grand Oculoid. I don't know how strong D&D's mind manipulation resistance is, but as far as I'm aware the strength of Mind...
What I said above with Hanzo and Genji applies to Mei, as you can find identical descriptions to those found in the book on the gameplay overview section of Mei's Page on the overwatch website, which again is separate from the Story section. I'm not seeing how this book presents any new...
So I was curious, so I checked the pages on the Overwatch website for Genji and Hanzo. The Book's Bio and Ability descriptions are outright identical to the book's, give or take an opening sentence or two in their biographies. Something notable is that the website has the gameplay and story...
The quote from the lead writer already provided an example. If one example is all that's needed, you already have one.
"To make it extra confusing: it gets a little more complicated in-game because we chose to have some 'non-canon interactions because I think it's more interesting to have...
Huh. Didn't realize this happened. My opinion is pretty much in line with ThePerpetual's though, so it wouldn't have changed anything. I think Zephyros summed it up best.
Sorry for potentially derailing the convo, but I felt this was somewhat important from both a VS debating standpoint or a indexing standpoint, especially in relation to the "wild pokemon" point. (Everything12 is probably right in that these discussions should be in a CRT instead of this thread...
@Saikou I've been growled at by wild pokemon before, and I've watched them stop spamming tackle to use growl once I've attempted to boost it back up. Meanwhile, I remember having wild Jigglypuff spam Sing while I'm awake, only to use damaging moves until I wake up. I rarely see a wild pokemon...
@Weekly Sorry for the inconvenience. From the outside it simply looked like his argument got written off as hating scaling chains when he had a point, but if its already been changed then its fine now.
@Weekly I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a problem with scaling chains (he might and I could have just forgotten it, but regardless); if you looked at his Ashe example, it was a scaling chain that linked to no speed feats throughout the entire chain. I don't have a problem with scaling chains...
This is a stomp for Duke. Reaper Leviatha is only 9-A with Superhuman speed, while at minimum Duke Fishro is 7-C, has High Hypersonic speed, can fly, has a range advantage, and has a plethora of other things going for him such as intangibility and teleportation.
I see that you are a new user...
When you have the time to look over the pages more closely, can you provide more detail into why you think TGO (or Naruto, given your "maybe not though") can win so I can add your vote?
Addiction Manipulation and Omnicide.
One of these powers is a little significantly less useful than the other, considering it doesn't help for things that I can't instakill...
Oh right a name for the guy. Omniaddict, who makes people addicted to chocolate before he wipes reality.
Xmark said it'd be a good idea to do this to determine if TGO can take Speed Equalized for Tier 5-C, so we're using 5-C Naruto and Speed Equalized. Otherwise refer to Standard Battle Assumptions.
The Grand Oculoid: 0
Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto and The Wicked Blade): 0
Inconclusive: 0
@Xmark12 I mentioned earlier in the thread that my character, The Grand Oculoid, could take 5-C, considering the fact he's MFTL+ with a lot of mindhax, a severe range advantage, and access to a form of existence erasure, among other things. Not sure how Naruto could deal with it. Should I make a...
I was going to hold back on nominating him, as I made his profile recently, but I think The Grand Oculoid should be able to take 5-C. I'd nominate Sethos, but when I get around to working on my pages again he'll probably lose his 5-C key.
Unequalized, his speed advantage is simply too much for...
War for the Overworld: Abstract demons find conveniently placed gateways in caves and build dungeons around them, and train armies to slaughter the good people who don't live in caves yet are always found in them for the sake of conquest, even though they don't seem to gain anything from it...
There are Ghosts and Wraiths that fly through tiles to reach the player, though I'm not sure if this characteristic is enough for them to qualify as non-corporeal considering even copper shortswords can damage them (albeit not very well).
Is it really mind hax if you're mind controlling a machine? Even if you don't need to target a brain to mindhax a living sapient being, I doubt whatever non-corporeal component that they'd need to target would exist for a robot by virtue of it not being alive and being, you know, a robot. If...
@TMS-D- I'd probably recommend getting NWN2, though I would say its not as good as the first game. Its not terrible, visually the game is nice, and IMO its OC is well written and many people like the other three campaigns it offers, but the gameplay doesn't feel as good - things feel stiff and...
Neverwinter Nights is my personal favorite game ever, and I like Pokemon and Undertale. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is good, but I haven't finished it because I'm lazy. Pretty much my stance on Dragon Age: Origins as well.
@Assalt I can't give reasons why they should stay - honestly I don't care either way if they're removed - but I don't think CH's reason really cuts it either, at least to me. Its existed on VS Forums for a while and this is a VS Forum, sure, but it still isn't any more of a character than the...
In one of the GameInformer magazines they showed artwork of a zombified Kirby attempting to inhale a Waddle Doo while poor Whispy Woods watched. I kind of want it to become an actual game.
Kirby's got this in the bag. She can copy any power and be better at it than the person who they got it from, and anything can fit in her mouth. She's also never been shown to get hurt, only scared, so that means that she's far too durable for anybody here to hurt her.
The only fictional...
@Duy9161 I'll go down your list.
Pretty much any media where the heroes go at superhuman speeds is slowed down so us mere mortals can actually see it, yes. Any time where you're playing Super Sonic in a Sonic game, the fights in Dragon Ball, any time true lightning in a game appears to be...
@DMB 1 Not in this fight, he doesn't. The Op explicitly states "Aight, time to make us fight a snowman. Human has no prior knowledge" in the first line, and I'm pretty sure that we don't give Composite Human prior knowledge on the basis of his opponent being from a fictional franchise ever...
I'm not saying he wouldn't make the connection that its weak to heat/fire, but why would bring a flamethrower to fight something that looks like something you can physically break? He probably doesn't even know its ranged given the fact that as the op says he has no prior knowledge, unless Prep...
You're right, it doesn't. But if you saw a snowman with a pumpkin on its head in real life, even if it could move and is actively trying to attack you, would you instantly assume you'll need to use a flamethrower to destroy it? Considering he doesn't have prior knowledge, he could possibly...
@BattleReviews The styrofoam cup wasn't close to the lava either, it was roughly the same distance away from it that Sans was, and as I said it got completely evaporated. Regardless, this is probably derailment and would be better suited to a Content Revision Thread.
Considering the Snow Golem...
