That's the funny thing with scaling Tolkien in general, First Age onward. There are a lot of ways to interpret scaling that are all equally valid "headcanons".
That was very vague downscaling from the 4-A+ tier that many physical bodies of the Maiar and Valar were put at. Nowadays I hesitate to scale the Ringwraiths at all since their powerset is very specific and their stats are potentially all over the place.
Oh man, you've seen all the old stuff then haha. I REALLY need to redo some of those (especially Ancalagon vs Godzilla). I'm glad to hear that you liked them!
I'm mainly a lurker on Vs Battles, and the only verses I really make any contributions to are Tolkien and Marvel. It's fun to drop in...
I'll be making some LotR scaling videos on my YouTube channel to help people realize how strong the verse is, but that might be a while out. I have some older LotR vids on my main channel but I've switched to a paleontology focus there
I wonder if they'll ever go into a deep explanation of how Thor's inner life-essence empowers him to such absurd degrees. I absolutely love it, as a main Thor fan, but I do have questions about where that power comes from that apparently is comparable to the strongest abstracts.
I'd tend to lean towards Zeus on this one, since Zeus and Odin are typically regarded as equals. Thor with an incomplete Odinforce did serious damage to Knull and was only taken out by a cheap shot from the back, so the equivalent of a full-power Skyfather could probably finish the job.
I think this is by far the most convincing CRT that ParkerKent has made on the site so far. I'm not staff, but there's quite a few WoG statements here in support of upgrading Stormbreaker's stats (or at least a "far higher" rating).
Again, Goten and Trunks would then be comparable to SSJ Broly. We just didn't see enough context in the fight to make any sort of solid scaling statements from it--for all we know, it turned into a 4 v 1 against Goku and that's why he had a black eye. There's simply not sufficient information to...
Good catch. The point still stands, however--the battle royale was clearly intended to be a fun match where everyone could participate, not as a bar for scaling. Otherwise Goten and Trunks would be comparable to SSJ Broly
I'm not sure we can use the battle royale for any legitimate scaling. If we did, then Beast Gohan pushed himself more against SSJB Vegeta than MUI Goku
I mean, on that website link it could very well just mean that they're using their strongest forms. It doesn't provide further detail, while the chapter itself clarifies that Gohan was going full strength while Goku said he wasn't fighting to win.
