  • I have many responsibilities on this site, and this means I only wear each hat for as long as is necessary. Therefore, you may leave CRT/calc eval/whatever requests, and I will try to get to it, but understand that my time is limited and I'm normally already tapped for some wiki policy matter or maintaining the wiki management threads or handling account issues for users who never seem to get things right. Low priority requests include tiershit, particularly active verses, and discussions with a lot of active staff voices already present. I'm not saying "no" but I probably won't get to them. If I don't reply, smart money says it won't be me to get to it. Sorry.

    It's basically a discussion about "Talking is a free action", in 2018 there was a thread to discuss this and adding a rule about it, but it wasn't closed, but recently a Staff Member used a conversation as an mainly argument to invalidate a feat. If the topic hadn't been abandoned we would probably have a rule preventing this type of argument. I have a ready text about what I would like to say, but I don't know if it's appropriate just to paste here.

    Talking isn't a free action, I'd say that if someone is talking then the timeframe for a feat changes. You can create a thread on the subject, I give permission even though I disagree, however you can't revive the old conversation. It's been so long that most of our staff team has changed from 2018 to 2025- I started in 2018 and I'm considered fairly old.

    I don't hate you and I'm not really even mad at you, you're just pushing this matter but the calc as it was is wrong.

    If you have an alternate method of deriving height in mind, I'm content to revise the calc. Some shots imply the crystals are larger, but Puss is never close enough to use those shots, and it may be a trick of perspective.

    This is a simple thread, as it says 1A+ range mistake.

    So, this is what it says on the range page for 1A+.

    Outerversal+: Attacks and abilities that can reach an infinite number of hierarchical steps above "baseline" 1-A realms and structures.

    The issue here is that 1A+ is described as encompassing only a countable infinity or aleph null layers of hierarchical steps or levels above baseline 1A structures, when really that is not the case.

    1A+ encompasses any imaginable infinity levels, not just countable infinity layers .

    So the wording should...

Levi did not move 5.6524 meters on his own; he used the 3D Maneuver Gear to evade the bullet. Therefore, Levi does not possess such speed; it is the speed of the 3D Maneuver Gear, which has already been specified, so there is no need for calculation. What Levi needed to do was simply react quickly enough to fire the hook in time...​

    Looking into it, I think it runs into two notable issues, one we have historically deleted profiles with significant prejudice with.

    The first and more tenuous issue is our rules regarding real life people. It's tenuous because it is a parody of the person, rather than a dramatization (such as a stage persona- we've blocked things like musical artist pages in the past). However, we have deleted "problematic" people's profiles before under this rule, so the precedence here is dicey.

    The other rule that I think more likely kills this is the plain and simple fact that this is a video game parody, a la Red vs Blue, only (I presume) without the express permission of the original creators to use their medium for this purpose. It is animated via The Sims 2, a private property the creators don't own. We haven't allowed people to create verses or pages for such things as a result, it must be strictly original.

    I could foresee there being instances where a shockwave is not usable (such as causing no damage to anything), but these things are so ingrained in context that it would be easier for you to provide the specific example you're thinking of.

    Sure. First, you would get a destruction value somehow. Since we're speaking in hypotheticals, let's say the shockwave shattered a steel door at a radius of twenty meters from its center. You would get the value for that (voila, 1.289e7 Joules) and the directional surface area of the door (let's say 2 m^2 for simplicity's sake). Now, you need to get intensity of the shockwave.

    For my sake, I'm going to take the shape of this hypothetical shockwave as a hemisphere (or half a sphere). With a 20 meter radius, the surface area of that hemisphere cap is 2513.3 m^2. We know that 2 m^2 of that fragmented a steel door, so it's time to get intensity, which is a very simple calculation: 1.289e7 / 2 = 6.445e6 Joules/m^2. The net energy of the shockwave is the intensity multiplied by its surface area. So:

    6.445e6 Joules/m^2 * 2.513.3 m^2 = 1.620e11 Joules, City Block level.

    On tiering in general? No, I've never made a thread to discuss that, and I almost certainly never will.

    My thought process is simple. It is entirely arbitrary. All of the tiering system past a point is based on mutual agreement as to what constitutes greater powers- the real science community has no consensus on these things, and we are hardly scientists. We simplify the concepts explored by the brightest minds in the world down to something the average 20-something can understand without getting bored and hamfist it to something workable by our standards. None of it is real. R>F is only a philosophy, a consideration applied to something that isn't real. It's just as valid as the next thing, we have a system derived from the musings of one or two people who thought about it for a long time.

    I don't think tier 1 exists, and if it does, we may be the least qualified people in the world to decipher it. "We" as in, the royal we, all powerscalers. Still. People want the higher numbers, eh? So, we have it. It is what it is.

    I don't like arguing, really. It's sort of counter-productive, to have that trait on a wiki dedicated to arguing, but I have been fortunate enough to be recognized as reliable, so I don't need to argue to have a say. I really am fairly non-confrontational, I rarely make threads myself to pursue things. I say what I think and sometimes people agree. I don't habitually debate, my interest is not in arguing, least of all something so unlikely to succeed. The end truth of the matter is that most users really like Tier 1. It would be an insanely unpopular move to remove it. Most people would convince themselves we're wrong, anyway. So, I am content to just let others handle it.

    That is fine, I gave my response to your criticisms. Just as a friendly reminder of what the current profiles view as "consistent" there are only 2 AP/DP feats used in the verse that are not from the 1970s with one of them being city block level. Only including the mainline stuff would make all of the feats 40 years behind current stuff as those two are from side projects, with there being nothing for current age material.

    There's a lot of obvious issues ("formed a tornado a tornado"), but the biggest question is whether you have any calcs for the statistics? You have her at wall level with no calcs.

    I fixed that.

    Shaking a house, sending someone flying a vast distance (twice) while breaking a large glass window on both should be sufficient for Wall Level without the need for calculations.

    The subsonic speed is probably gonna need a a calc though. Forming a large tornado via speed which moved a cow and a wooden plank should be enough, but I'll ask someone to calc it.

    He stands in front of a car traveling at least 65 km/h and it hits him. The impact splits the front part of the car in half between the front part and the windshield. Police calculations showed that what the car hit was something 4300 times denser than steel.

    I calculated the destroyed part of the car, but I wondered if the character being 4300 times denser than steel was calculable. Maybe it would give a higher result?

    As the - context - states, Dagruel neutralizes the negative energy of void with his own positive energy, thus neutralizing the Nihilistic Parade.

    So there is no "erasing the void" here that can be described as the "existence erasure", this needs to be changed to "negative energy...

    I already corrected my blog and this time I used Cat's height and you will wonder Why do you use 39 px if the image measures 70 px? Well it's because of 2 things: Distance and depth The distance because Gato seems to be close to the glass but in reality it is not because Gato is in the center and if he looks close it is because of the camera therefore Gato is far from the white glass and in depth because the White crystal is higher than Cat and doing that pixel scaling is not reliable.
