Honkai: Star Rail CRT (Part 2) – Scepter Downgrade & Eidolon Ability Removal

I find it funny how some supporters seem determined not to read the CRT, and if they do read it, they still don't understand the points being made.

The term 恒星系 is used in conjunction with star cluster—so how exactly would a galaxy be inside a star cluster? Lmao.

By the way, now that you mentioned it, I remembered something I had forgotten for a while regarding the scan claiming that star systems start at 10,000 light-years, as well as the note on the verse page. That interpretation is simply WRONG. THAT'S NOT what the text says.

Grammatically, the sentence is saying that the bounty hunters came from star systems located within approximately 10,000 light-years of distance. It is not saying that star systems themselves are 10,000 light-years in size.

The modifier in the sentence is:
近萬光年內的
which modifies:
星系賞金獵人

Therefore, the sentence means:

The 10,000 light-years measurement is describing the location of the star systems where the bounty hunters came from, with Lepismat being the reference point for that distance.

Since we've gotten into the subject...
Therefore, this note on the verse page should be removed, and if any character's tier relies on this interpretation, that scaling should be reconsidered as well.

I haven't checked the other scans mentioning 100,000 light-years or millions of light-years yet. However, if those statements were interpreted using the same logic as this one...

...
Until you realize the term "恒星系" was only used once and that was regarding the Scepter, unironically Chinese is so shit because I deadass re-checked everything back again and the one you just quoted used the term "蠹星" for Lepismat as a Star System and the Welkin Empire one from Glamoth used "星区" for its Star System, so what are you gonna do

直到某一日,身披机械战甲的骑士从天而降,将铺天的蠹虫歼灭殆尽。银白的铁骑从此往返于帝国各个星区,跨越满目疮痍的疆土,抵挡覆灭星系的灾厄。
This is the complete text for the Glamoth one, it spanning tens of thousands of lightyears for the Welkin Empire is there on the chinese text

Anyways from what you interpreted from that, I don't know how that would debunk the notion that a star system could vary in 10,000 lightyears given the Glamoth one spanned tens of thousands of lightyears in the Welkin Empire that has various star systems (or star sectors in chinese) plus this statement:
苍穹帝国格拉默享有数万光年的广大疆域

The Actual Problem

The Scepter scan does not use 星系.

Instead, it uses 恒星系, which is an different term.

Chinese:

Unlike 星系, 恒星系 is generally used as the standard Chinese term for a stellar system rather than a galaxy, at least in common/popular usage.

Since someone might argue that 恒星系 can occasionally refer to galaxies depending on context. Even if that interpretation were theoretically possible, HoYoverse's own terminology distinguishes these terms.

To demonstrate this, we also need to define another recurring term: 星团 ("star cluster").

---

Example 1

At first glance, there's already an obvious problem if "star system" were interpreted as a galaxy.
A galaxy existing inside a star cluster makes no sense in this context.

The Chinese text reads:

Here we can clearly see:
  • 星团 = Star Cluster
  • 恒星系 = Star System
This is exactly the same term used in the Scepter statement.

---

Example 2

Chinese:

Once again:

- 星团 = Star Cluster
- 恒星系 = Star System

---

Example 3

Perhaps the clearest example.

Chinese:

This passage explicitly states that the 恒星系 contains terrestrial planets.

Galaxies do not "contain terrestrial planets" in this manner. This is clearly describing a stellar system composed of a star and its orbiting planets.

Again, HoYoverse distinguishes:

- 星团 → Star Cluster
- 恒星系 → Stellar System
- 星系 → Galaxy/Stellar system

---

OBS:
The Chinese BWIKI groups 星系 and 恒星系 together for editorial convenience, explicitly stating that it does 'not make a special distinction' (不做特别的区分) when cataloging locations. However, it still preserves HoYoverse's original terminology throughout the entries, listing 恒星系 (stellar systems) and 星系 separately rather than treating them as interchangeable terms.

---
The main issue with this is that Star Cluster have no stated size in Honkai: Star Rail, and the stated size (let's say for Lepismat as a Star System including the one within Welkin Empire uses a different terminology as I've stated in the reply above), plus it'd be absurd if we assume the Scepter destroyed only the SPECIFIC part that contains terrestrial planets despite the statement itself saying that there's no terrestrial planet except for "one" which is like what? Several light years?

We already have a defined ranking for these:
Irontomb being the strongest Scepter, capable of destroying the entire universe and Rubert II's Scepter capable of destroying half the universe, and then this one that's capable of destroying a galaxy, the problem solely lies in the fact that other than the Star System, it said this on the other option if you feel "rage" instead of "sadness" which gives you the Scepter capable of destroying a whole galaxy section
Tbh, this is my reply unless there's anything substantial but I decline to recalculate it to only several lightyears when it's also stated it could crush thousands upon thousands of worlds in entropy with the context behind it that a star being destroyed directly affects planets a thousand lightyears away

But yeah, after rechecking it with the Chinese, Asdana is consistent to be a galaxy since it's "阿斯德纳星系" instead of a Star System actually, I might've lowballed it on that one

Guys... you can simply solve the speed issue part by upscaling them above Enraged Khaslana, as Zephyro still beat out the shit of him in his rage power state and Incomplete Irontomb and Ascended Heirs are to comparable to Zephyro
Zephyro is just upscaling from them

Comparable to zephyro
Comparable to zephyro

Alright so uh actually my last reply this time, since I found out how to calculate it using the Emperor's spear (the other option) since the previous calc is using the Emperor's sword which caused huge terminology issues especially in this CRT, I could recalculate it if this thread somehow passes but yeah

? If anything seems confusing, it's because I'm typing on my phone, it freezes sometimes and causes misclicks when I try to comment on this site when using it
Comparable to zephyro is just a joke cus acheron is “comparable to zephyro” through a random picture

Zephyro’s scaling comes from upscaling from the chrysos heirs so if the chrysos heirs are nuked then so is zephyro

Oh, I wasn't aware of this joke, well, Incomplete Irontomb, Ascended Heirs, Ascended AE trio and Demiurge should still be at least MFTL due to Zephyro overwhelming Enraged Khaslana if the speed downgrade gets accepted

Scepters are basically planet sized super computers/weapons that are all poor imitations of Nous

Meanwhile, Scepter δ-me13/Irontomb, the original Neuron of Nous, is an awakened scepter and an Emanator of Destruction gazed by Nanook so this scepter specifically is basically a giant killing clanker that is capable of fighting unlike the other scepters which were just mere tools and utilizes the power as Honkai/Imaginary Energy.

For everyone who has already agreed with the CRT, as well as the Staff, please take a look at my latest post regarding the note claiming that HSR's stellar systems have a minimum size of 10,000 light-years.
Until you realize the term "恒星系" was only used once and that was regarding the Scepter
I literally provided three examples of the term 恒星系 being used, yet you're saying it only appears in the Scepter scan.
Anyways from what you interpreted from that, I don't know how that would debunk the notion that a star system could vary in 10,000 lightyears given the Glamoth one spanned tens of thousands of lightyears in the Welkin Empire that has various star systems (or star sectors in chinese) plus this statement:
I'm not arguing that a stellar system can't reach that size. My point is that it doesn't have a minimum size of 10,000 light-years, as the current note/you claims. I also showed in the CRT which term Hoyoverse uses for Glamoth, and it isn't the same one used in the Scepter scan, so I don't see how that argument is relevant.

The calculation for the Scepter scan should be based on the size of a standard solar system. Also, read the scan again—it never states that the planet is several light-years away from the system.

I literally showed the term Hoyoverse uses for Asdana in the first paragraph of the CRT, so you're bringing up information that everyone already knows.

The scan states that he used the Scepters (plural), which doesn't sound like an individual feat to me. But well, it seems legit.

Well, 2-A is fine i guess

The ability revision is also fine, unless someone can bring up thing that can change my mind
