Hello everyone. Just like in my previous CRT, I'd like to address a few issues regarding Honkai: Star Rail profiles. This thread will mainly focus on a downgrade related to the Scepter calculation, along with a small ability removal.
1. Downgrade – The Scepter Calculation
I'll begin with the downgrade since it is the more substantial topic.
The issue concerns the calculation that assumes the Scepter destroyed an entire galaxy within a microsecond (or nanosecond). Before discussing the feat itself, however, we first need to understand HoYoverse's terminology.
HoYoverse's Terminology
In Chinese, HoYoverse frequently uses the term 星系 when referring to galaxies. While the English localization sometimes translates it as "star system".
Some examples:
Notice the use of 星系, while the sentence explicitly mentions a spiral arm—something that only galaxies possess.
---
Glamoth Relic
---
The Virpora System is another example. It is visually depicted as a galaxy, yet the English localization calls it a "star system" despite the Chinese once again using 星系.
There are numerous additional examples throughout the game where 星系 is used in contexts referring to galaxies. This is also reflected on the Chinese wiki (BWiki), for anyone interested in verifying it.
---
The Actual Problem
The Scepter scan does not use 星系.
Instead, it uses 恒星系, which is an different term.
Chinese:
Unlike 星系, 恒星系 is generally used as the standard Chinese term for a stellar system rather than a galaxy, at least in common/popular usage.
Since someone might argue that 恒星系 can occasionally refer to galaxies depending on context. Even if that interpretation were theoretically possible, HoYoverse's own terminology distinguishes these terms.
To demonstrate this, we also need to define another recurring term: 星团 ("star cluster").
---
Example 1
A galaxy existing inside a star cluster makes no sense in this context.
The Chinese text reads:
---
Example 2
- 星团 = Star Cluster
- 恒星系 = Star System
---
Example 3
Perhaps the clearest example.
This passage explicitly states that the 恒星系 contains terrestrial planets.
Galaxies do not "contain terrestrial planets" in this manner. This is clearly describing a stellar system composed of a star and its orbiting planets.
Again, HoYoverse distinguishes:
- 星团 → Star Cluster
- 恒星系 → Stellar System
- 星系 → Galaxy/Stellar system
---
OBS:
The Chinese BWIKI groups 星系 and 恒星系 together for editorial convenience, explicitly stating that it does 'not make a special distinction' (不做特别的区分) when cataloging locations. However, it still preserves HoYoverse's original terminology throughout the entries, listing 恒星系 (stellar systems) and 星系 separately rather than treating them as interchangeable terms.
---
Conclusion
I believe the evidence overwhelmingly supports that the Scepter statement refers to the destruction of an entire stellar system, not an entire galaxy. As a result, every profile currently scaling to this calculation—whether for Attack Potency or Speed—should instead scale to a new calculation based on the destruction of a stellar system.

2. Ability Removal – Probability Manipulation (Eidolons)
This section is considerably shorter.
At the moment, every Honkai: Star Rail character possesses passive Probability Manipulation due to Eidolons.
The description reads:
The primary issue is that this appears to be descriptive, not causal.
The text does not state that the character manipulates probabilities.
It is comparable to saying:
«"People are born and eventually die."»
This sentence describes a process. It does not imply that people control birth or death themselves.
A possible counterargument is:
«"As people embark on a set path..."»
Therefore, the collapse is supposedly caused by the character.
However, there is an important distinction between:
Furthermore, some supporters of the verse interpret Eidolons as memories. If Eidolons are memories, it becomes even more difficult to justify Probability Manipulation, as there is no demonstrated mechanism connecting memories to the manipulation of probability.
The description can just as reasonably be interpreted as:
«"When someone commits to a Path, their possibilities cease remaining open and eventually converge into a single identity."»
Once again, the text simply describes a phenomenon that occurs after a person "chooses" a Path. At no point does it state that the character consciously or passively manipulates probability itself.
---
That's all for this CRT.
Furthermore, please check the part regarding the removal of the note claiming that star systems in the verse begin at 10,000 light-years.

At first glance, there's already an obvious problem if "star system" were interpreted as a galaxy.
A galaxy existing inside a star cluster makes no sense in this context.

- 恒星系 = Star System

Example 3
Perhaps the clearest example.
Chinese:«Transmission from the Xianzhou Fanghu...»
"We are currently moored at the Lanadi star system in the Tlaltecuhtli star cluster. This system has no terrestrial planets, except for one with a rudimentary ecosystem. The Fanghu has determined this to be a hidden star system with no ecosphere within several light years' range, meaning it can easily evade attacks from the Denizens of Abundance or the Legion.»
This passage explicitly states that the 恒星系 contains terrestrial planets.
Galaxies do not "contain terrestrial planets" in this manner. This is clearly describing a stellar system composed of a star and its orbiting planets.
