[5-0-0] Whatever's clever, the master foe, all bad guys heard of, nar' a villain know - 2022 Batman vs Light Yagami

This is classified information but there is a way to find it, specially because Batman can also make a profile from the initial killing region and by the fact it was made public by L that Lind L. Taylor's trap was only transmitted in the Kanto region, so putting Light as a prime suspect is not hard, so tailing him can give him that type of info (which is Batsy's main specialty), by knowing which building should he infiltrate later
Finding where Kira is located is not enough; L also needed to know about Kira's police connection, which Bruce won't have here. So zoning in on Kira's location is just 1 piece of a greater puzzle and does not guarantee a win (L litterally dies despite all this)

Well, Light can't know Batman is a billionaire because his approach is soturnal and physical, with less use of gadgets than other iterations as his fighting is more CQC-oriented, with the only actual indication that he may be rich is because of having a motorcycle (lol), since stuff that would indicate his huge wealth (like the fact his suit is bulletproof, his hookshot and similars) are definetely something Light can't find out at all on data, classified or not.
The fact remains, he clearly needs a lot of funding for the suit and gadgets, no matter how little he has compared to his other variants. Light can just check CCTV footage to know about the bulletproof aspect and the hook.

He haven't used his hookshot or got shot anywhere with CCTV, from what we're shown

...Which Light can't know since no official reports will talk about anything that would indicate him being rich, at max they would about him being someone prepared (there's a chance Light will eventually read a report talking about his escape from GCPD being via glidersuit). Due to some parts of the movie's script we can fairly believe that Riddler and his operation were the first highly complex investigation he did, or at least the first time he got involved with trouble on the magnitude we see, since when Gordon gets Batman in the crime scene (2nd scene of the movie), the cop guarding the scene tries stopping him and the guy who calls Gordon out says it on the line of "you doing this now huh?", and he also later gets in trouble with the Police only getting it to tail him after he escapes GCPD.
Long story short, his crazy s* won't be on any police report save for a gliding suit, and an item varying from 800 to 3000 USD can't show "oh, must be a billionaire, so imma do the killing spree i should be doing from the beggining to see what happens and kill this fella"

Finding "where Kira is" is the first piece, tailing the possible culprits the Lind L. Taylor trap gives brings only 3 people and the only one still acting in a remotely suspect way is Light, tailing Light (something this guy does pretty well) reveals the secret place the Investigation Team resides, and investigating that he can find all the gatekept info imaginable, getting Light as a culprit soon enough after digging on it

It still shows that Batman has a lot of money and would need money to train his obviously high level of martial arts. That and Bruce's backstory already gives him a clear motive to fight crime, which Light would identify.

And the rest? Like his suit?

And the rest? Like his suit?
Having a suit and a car is more than possible for any not-that-important civil servant lol
A bank manager can have those with the proper financial care, and motivation won't be helping pinning down on Bruce either due to Gotham being a hellhole with all possible crimes happening everywhere, so basically all Gotham have enough motivation to become Batman lmao

Don't think any reports would go out of its way to talk about that, because he can get into prolonged fights (most of them are not going into reports due to being in strange and far from policemen situations) but he's always getting hit more than once, it's not like Bruce Lee or other cqc-oriented characters
The level of martial arts we're shown is not the unbelievable one from the likes Christian Bale's Batman or Comics', it just shows he's got some training, but if Ras'Al Ghul will become a thing, it haven't been part of his life yet lol

I went through it for a bit but we're introduced to Gotham being a hellhole, not only in the movie but in the Penguim TV Show also
Organized Crime has been amidst the city's politics for decades, nobody feels safe at any point of the day, specially at night, the city's been divided between at least 5 gangs and the division keeps changing all the time.
I say all of that because basically anyone has the perfect motive to become Batman and classified data shouldn't have much of interest to point out someone obscenely rich is the guy, though because he has a custom suit and a car (Gotham is already facing disaster when he uses his 2nd bike so there shouldn't be a dedicated CIA file on the matter and i can't see Light knowing that at all) it clearly shouldn't be someone poor so only a few hundred people should fit the criteria and even Light should take a few days to sort through them and have Bruce as a main suspect (among so many people, assume a billionaire will go out of his way to personally fight crime? Would take a while to find reasoning for this claim and I once again tell you that people with access to several data were attempting to know that and couldn't) and in that meantime it is more than possible for the line i proposed to go through.

that guy was a hassle and a half here in the forum a while ago lol

i watched this video 3 or 4 times since it released
didn't know seth was involved here ngl

I consider his videos entertaining and a lot of the stuff he says is just... true lmao so I like watching him

His batman vs kira vid has significantly different conditions compared to this thread though

In terms of my vote, how easily could Kira figure out that Bruce Wayne is Batman?

If you dig a bit deep into his channel, you'll see he had A LOT of trouble specially regarding how we saw DB and Kingdom Hearts (he has a video specifically saying @Bobsican is wrong and yada yada lol). His video is what started long long ago my trouble with how we saw the Master Roshi moon feat and i created a rule for it

As i was clarifying to @Doggo, it's quite hard, since he'd rely on his cult, which we don't know how strong it is in Gotham
And since people with access to the same classified data Light maybe would have, were actively trying to find his identity out and couldn't, it is very easy to assume he can't pin Bruce down as a suspect of being Batman faster than Bruce can pin him down as a main suspect of being Kira

The key for me is what concrete proof does Batman need and can he get it?
By looking at the Lind L. Taylor incident and going after the same suspects (high school students with police relatives) he can start monitoring Light, which he's very proficient at, and it won't take long for him to get footage of Light using the Death Note and/or manipulating/talking to people who Batsy can get footage of using the Death Note

I'll ask more about this in dms

haven't there been many versions of Batman that got their identities exposed before?

haven't there been many versions of Batman that got their identities exposed before?
yes but this one hasn't been yet and as he's acting for 2 years, what we have in the movies is not enough to say someone should be able to find his identity by the data the police acquired, classified or not
