UNDERTALE/DELTARUNE [shiny new] DISCUSSION THEAD

So let's be clear here.
You think that DWs are just perceptual in nature.
When Noelle casts Snowgrave onto unsuspecting bird, nothing actually happens. Noelle imagines that she is casting it, Berdly imagines that ice spell is being casted on him.
Whatever things Darkners do is literally illusion.
Correct?
It's a fantasy as aforemention, so that is one way to interpret their immersion. Not the term I would use. Noelle believes she is casting Snowgrave, and the fantasy world reflects that visually.

Just wanted to provide context for my opinions, that's all
No?... Tenna was destroyed by a Lightner. AND the items are just real mundane objects.
Destroyed by a Lightner WITHIN the Dark World, and objects picked up WITHIN the Dark World
Yes, Tenna and those items in the Light World are still just regular ass objects, but that doesn't change the fact that events within the Dark World changed them in some way, and that seems to imply that, in some way, shape, or form, what happened within the Dark Worlds ACTUALLY HAPPENED. You may see it differently, and that's fine, but that doesn't flat-out disprove my view either.

We're kinda getting into semantics here, and we don't have all the info necessary to prove one way or the other, so how about we call it a draw, and we move on with our lives? You think Dark Worlds are purely mental, I think they're physical reflecting the mental. All we can do is wait for Chapter 5, and maybe then we'll have our answers

It both purely mental and physical tho

Something real (the TV) was destroyed by someone real (a lightner) in the dark world (fantasy version of that interaction).

How does that disprove anything? Tenna lost both his arms, but that's reflected as a TV being smashed with a bat... Huh, interesting, right?
and objects picked up WITHIN the Dark World.
All objects in the Dark World are just real objects that were transformed, obviously they are going to translate. That's neutral ground.

This is semantics at its finest. Yes, if you hit your TV with a bat, but in your head, you pretend its a cool slashing attack, the TV will still get destroyed. That's neutral ground, that doesn't "literally disproves your argument" like you claimed before.

Also, you're not trying to disprove me, you're trying to disprove Ralsei, who has build-in knowledge about the entire story of the game.

Found out that the Titan had concept art via this thread.

Also found out that the artist for Cucumber Quest is an artist on Deltarune now. That's crazy. I knew they already collabed with Toby in the past, but didn't think they were on the team

I should really read/do profiles for Cucumber Quest

The characters are cloaked by darkness from an outside perspective, their actions can't be seen or interpreted
And what would happen if outsider who can't be influenced by this darkness sees the whole scene?

Is Titan "real"?

That's impossible as they need to be inside or capturing the darkness/negative photons with their eyes to see it, and if they're seeing it through the lenses of shadow, they will see the same event as Noelle and Berdly, the Snowgrave attack.

I don't know.

It almost like you could use the delta equation to anwser your question...

I don't know.
Gaia is going to be pissed at you for saying thier child arent real.

Let's set something straight.

Imagine:
You are chilling in your home. Suddenly gas leak happens. But gas seems strange. After awhile you see strange things happening. Building seems bigger, laws of physics seems to change, objects came to life. You wonder what is happening.
You have two theories:
1. Gas is messing with your perception. It's all perception manipulation
2. Gas is messing with the reality itself. It's reality warping.

You agree with these propositions?

Let me be real, it kinda doesn't look too good. Wanting downgrades due to wank is one thing, wishing for future anti feats is another.
This reads to me like you consider a high rating in a powerscaling site a synonym with quality, and that wishing for anti-feats is challenging that quality or respect. No, Deltarune won't be worse as a story if the Titan is building level imo

But why would you want for it tier to be lower? I know why I want it to be higher
I don't mind the rating, but it has to be for the right reasons. Pocket Dimension creation is hardly ever intended to represent capabilities, which is why 99% of Deltarune's feats are in the Tier 9-8 range. I just don't have a smoking gun to remove it yet.

How about this: we don't wank, we don't downplay, we just try our best to accurately assess these fictional worlds given all the info we have. Is that good with everyone? Can we stop going at each other's throats all the f*cking time?
If people treat my tone as too aggressive, I am fine with toning it down

Wouldn't it be better to create staff thread to strengthen site standards and requirements on this?

I'm more so worried about the speed. I'm not sure if I should do a CRT on Gerson's statue first or the FTL rating.

Coin flip
Nah, the Gerson statue High Hypersonic rating needs to go first. If I were to make a thread on the FTL scaling, I'd have to deal with the High Hypersonic Gerson in the same thread. I'm going to question the calc's validity itself, so a CGD thread would be more appropriate anyway.

No gambling :( what would Jevil think?

(Anyways yeah that makes sense if that’s what you’re predicting would happen)
