Are we forgetting that the gem of Serenity IS her gem. Sirin got it from the moon so it has an intrinsic connection to her, AKA why it awoke HoV TWICE. Of course she can control it. She's been made by Otto with Sirin's DNA to be compatible with the gem.
Kiana was always going to live thanks to HoV harnessing the gem of Serenity, her HE resistance or ability doesn't really matter here.

Touché, Kiana surviving the Gem of Serenity is used as the basis of Honkai energy having its 2nd layer so this might knock HE down to 5 layers if Kiana resisting it simply doesn’t count.
Also did anyone besides Durandal and Cecilia wield abyss flower for reference since it had its own Gem of Serenity.
We know it could’ve cooked 2E Kira though.

Aren't the layers extremely arbitrary? I think they could use a rework myself.

Also Seele uses black abyss white flower in kolosten to save Bronya. I figure this is because she has the stigma of the PE Herrscher of Death. She mentions controlling it is easier than she expected.
We see Theresa holding it in 2E.

Plus we see the Gem of Serenity disintegrate that one scientist's granddaughter in Moon Shadow and she was an A rank.

Footnote:
Wendy only had a 23% compatibility with the gem of wind. She was an A-rank too, bordering on S-rank.
It seems less like withstanding the gems is power-based and more genetics-based / if you can form a connection with the core.

Mei was far weaker than any of the above when she took on the Gem of Conquest in Nagazora.

Given Shiroiyo’s scans got nuked too that could be ideal, who knows if you rework the layers they could be higher (or lower)
Seele and Theresa you mentioned would fall under High level HE users so good to know.

Mention of where HSR characters place on the layers would also be good given this current revision thread exists

Genetics / forming a connection based seems to make much more sense though given the example you gave with Mei. She’s a Theresa victim at that point of the story.
I wonder how thoroughly that’d nuke HE’s layers though

I mean it really depends because we do see different levels of Honkai proficiency regardless.

Plus then there's a Herrscher like Wendy whose connection to the core was obviously weaker but she still could partially bear the core, of course it crippled her but she was alive.

It's also weird because Kiana is obviously a massive exception through the virtue of being Kaslana + Schariac + Sirin genes so she should be able to handle any amount of corruption... but she also has a connection with the cores.

What if the core doesnt give HE level just physiology then? Like she can have the physiology but like low level HE (another reason why Herrscher physiology should have its own page ig i can work on that since im in limbo rn)

That makes sense to say cause there are characters like Bronya who aren’t really a perfect match for the Herrscher of reason like Joyce but Welt comments Bronya having way better Honkai adaptability in relation to why Bronya has potential as a Herrscher of Reason

Stuff like Wendy / BoS Mei with Low level and Herrscher physiology would do a lot better. Since Herrscher physiology is more state of being rather than a level of skill or raw power.

Sirin with no training clearly has low-level HE because the best feats she does are throwing moon rocks and setting rocks on fire 😭 No it 100% gives HE level
 
So, quick question. Why is the Cocoon of Finality counted as 12-dimensional Higher-Dimensional Existence? They're compactified dimensions, which potentially exist even in real-life physics models but to my knowledge we don't give characters who destroy universes that acknowledge string theory (and nothing else) this sort of range.

compactiffied dimensions still count as HDE just not tierable dimensions (low 1-C-h1-B) the dimensions do exist its stated in the VN and hi3 there are extra dimensions in hi3. the imaginary tree and soq are 11 dimensional spaces that exist outside of "real space", as we call it here on the wiki, that are infinite in size and infinietly bigger than real space (the tree being infinite in a transfinite sense (infinetly infinite lmao). the cocoon exists above all these dimensions in an unknown imaginary space as it is the origin of dimensions, phenomena, and space.

I do not disagree with them existing, that much is true. My question is if we actually treat them as being as great in range as High 1-C since even Tier 2 space-time continuums can have these compactified dimensions and still be far smaller than large 5-dimensional spaces and above.

depends on if the characters can reach these dimensions and how they work in the verse, though this would probably be more of a wiki justification issue than anything. like i think a verse has to explicitly state these dimensions exist for them to qualify though the size being significant or not constitutes HDE of just straight up tiering

tbf i dont think characters with a certain HDE can really do much to characters that actually scale there (kiana being low 1-C with 12D hde cant do much against an actual 1B character) without some other insane smurf hax else there would be no point in tiering but they mostly are just unaffected by anything lower because they are unreachable
