All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

Question--Are we sure this calc is accepted? It says it's last revision had it's status pending review, there was serious discussion in it's comments, and I've yet to find the actual thread that verifies this is good to use. The closest I can get is THIS thread, but though it links to the same calc, the results they speak of to be accepted aren't very clear. In fact, they seem contradictory to the ones in the blog. (1/150th Baseline Solar System, or 4.65 x 10^33 according to the thread, but the calc blog comments claims the accepted value is 1.55 x 10^43).
Seems like something that needs to be checked over more properly, or potentially redone entirely if possible

I believe it was implied by El Manga Legendario he was weaker than Grade 4 SSJ Goku from the Cell Saga? Which is somewhat backed up by Dabura catching him totally off guard, given Dabura is Perfect Cell to Super Perfect Cell level.
The El Manga Legendario excerpt was denied ages ago specifically because of being relying solely on the comparison between Cell and Dabura; the logic is: two characters simply being cautious of Cell levels of power is not evidence they were similar in strength, simply that they are similarly inferior to Cell levels of power to unknown degrees.

I—Huuuh? That doesn’t…I’m confused. The excerpt allegedly claims Shin is Cell Saga FSSJ Goku level and that Piccolo is weaker, so wouldn’t Cell and Dabura being relative, with Piccolo being considered inferior to Dabura, support the idea that Piccolo was beneath SSJ Grade 4 Goku? Like, I’m not sure what them being cautious has to do with the fact that it still supports they were weaker, as the statement claims?

That sounds like a bull, Shin is stronger than Namek Frieza, sure, but no way in hell it's ever implied in the actual show that he's as strong as FP SSJ Goku from the Cell saga, rather the opposite, even a supressed Dabura is scary to him.

Are there any other game versions of Goku that could have a profile of their own? The only one that comes to mind is Legacy of Goku

Nothings really unique about those versions they’re just Toei/DBS Anime Goku at different points in time with game scaling.
Actually Xenoverse Goku has God Ki game abilities and resistances, Legends Goku also have God Ki and some specific resistances he displayed in Legends. Idk what Jump Force Goku has though lol

Exactly it’s just additional game scaling, it’s the same reason why we don’t have Kai profiles they just aren’t enough to stand on their own

Though the What Ifs in the Budokai Tenkaichi series might be good enough to have profiles

Well that’s a big lowball
The problem is, we don't really know for sure, but all evidence points out that's the case, becouse Kibito who should be relative to Shin was effortlessly desintegrated by a wave of a supressed Dabura, and also he feared Yakon who shouldn't be stronger than them either. Tho if we are talking about the Toeiverse, that's a different story becouse base Goku at the start of the buu saga has enough power to put Super perfect Cell to shame

You’re forgetting the fact that he’s “dimensions apart” from Piccolo, who at this point is leagues and bounds stronger than Mecha Frieza it’s not even funny

But FP SSJ Cell saga Goku is far stronger than Kamiccolo, that's the version that was compared messages above

No? like, isn't like...common knowledge FP Cell saga SSJ Goku is comparable to Perfect Cell, who in turn is leagues above Android 17 who is = Kamiccolo?
Nah, Full Power Cell > SSJ Goku. When Gohan goes SSJ2, Cell reveals he’d been holding back by a SIGNIFICANT amount at the time and powers up. Everyone reacts in fear and notes it’s far beyond anything shown before…Only for Cell to get throttled by Gohan anyway.

Full Power Perfect Cell is superior to Goku, yeah, but even supressed Perfect Cell is way more stronger than Piccolo than he is to Goku.

Yeah, what they say doesn't really make sense... it's like saying Piccolo is stronger than post-time chamber FP SSJ Trunks and Vegeta who are leagues above Semi perfect Cell, when he's just as strong as Android 17.

Even Imperfect Cell after absorbing humans is much stronger than Piccolo, so is Android 16.

And also, the power gap between FP SSJ Goku and perfect Cell wasn't THAT high, in fact Goku and Cell were somewhat comparable in power.
Just happened that Cell was a bit stronger, but only slightly.

Krillin and Yamcha's growth throughout DB being so undefined makes charting out a halfway decent scaling chain so difficult :/

Nah Cell is way above Goku. Also Piccolo is 7 years stronger than he was in the Android Saga, so the gap between him and Cell is smaller (but still very large so it doesn’t matter much)

in fact Goku and Cell were somewhat comparable in power.
At the very beginning of the fight, they were "somewhat comparable"—during the warm-up; Goku even admitted he would "be quick-fried if [he] let up for a second". However, after they began fighting at "full power" (note: Cell was not "fighting for real"), Cell speedblitzed Goku, pushed him to the limits, and forced him to surrender; a Kiai was powerful enough to threaten Goku and the other Z-Fighters; Cell's basic Ki Blasts drove Goku to retreat; Cell's Perfect Barrier completely negated Goku's Rapid-Fire Kamehameha—according to Cell, Goku's most destructive move yet—which requires double the amount of Ki; even after Cell took Goku's Instant Transmission Kamehameha head-on, Goku could sense "still so much [Ki] left" from him; Goku "could not significantly damage" Cell; if Goku regained his full power by the time their battle ended, he would still only have a "slightly" higher chance of victory, even with Cell exhausting "so much" of his energy; Cell was "two steps ahead" throughout the entire fight.

Did you also forget Gohan, who while at his presumably lowest level of power (as he was not in combat and weighted, simultaneously) thought Goku was not even trying, was at Cell's mercy, even after he removed his weighted gear and actually powered up?

What if I made a profile overhaul for DBE Goku using more movie scans and novelization feats hahah just kidding

Unless someone wants me to

Honestly having a lack of knowledge of DBE is for the best
well, just joking, but well, tbh, i think the movie do have some enjoyable parts if we just pretend it to be a standalone movie that not attached to the name Dragon Ball

tell that to yourself.
it is tecnically the best live action adaptation of dragon ball
Having a lack of knowledge on DBE is for the best. It is a terrible movie whether you compare it to its origins or not.

As for it being the best live action adaption. That is one of the worst DB opinion of all times. Live adaptions are bound to take liberties but that doesn’t justify the absolute massacre Goku’s character got. The naive, innocent, combat loving boy was turned into a drama teen horn dog whose skills fluctuated based on his chance at getting laid. “Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins” is old and cheesy but is at least somewhat faithful to Goku’s character and the overall vibe of DB.

yeah, there are rap battles and aliens from another planet and apparently Uulong looks even more stupid than what he actually is (and is a human?)
