Sailor Moon: General Discussion

Most people rejected his message, they hated him because he told them the truth.
Oh but don't you worry, those mirror dimensions with no size? Those are universes for sure!!

Source: Trust me bro

Saint Seiya introduced alternate timelines in Next Dimension, heck you could argue that Elysium itself is an alternate timeline too. Dragon Ball has had alternate timelines and even a 2-C universe for ages, Sailor Moon has.... one (1) universe.

This is the funniest shit I've read in a while

@Iamunanimousinthat bruh just stop

"1. In Sailor Moon, the term "Star" is used both literally and metaphorically. Literally, it refers to actual stars in space"

No man it's only one, can't be both at the same time, don't contradict yourself

"While the term "Galaxy" is used in the text, the scope of the Galaxy Cauldron extends beyond just the galaxy to encompass the entire cosmology."

No dude this has been debunked jesus christ

And finally "Under Neoplatonism, the Galaxy Cauldron would be akin to the One or the emanation of the One."

There's nothing platonic about sailor moon imo and treating it as a platonic series is fatally flawed

you're like a month late lol

Time to debunk this. Btw I will treat Sailor Moon with Aristotle in mind and not Plato.

"The Galaxy Cauldron is the literal heart and center of the entire Sailor Moon Cosmology. It is a structure located at the center of the galaxy which produces Star Seeds and Sailor Crystals which become everything in the verse. Living beings, Celestial objects, Power, Light, Universes, Higher Dimensions and the entire Cosmos itself are all are given form from a Star Seed that comes from the Cauldron"

Unfortunately this is not true. The eye test and the nature of the sailor moon universe implies every galaxy has its own cauldron, and the scans provided refer to everything created in the milky way, but do not state anything about the nature of the cauldron beyond this.

"While the text mentions, 'Galaxy', the scope of the Galaxy Cauldron expands to the entire Cosmology, and not just the galaxy. For example, Pharaoh 90 is a being from an Alternate Universe, yet he still originated in the Galaxy Cauldron which is located in the Main Universe."

No pharaoh 90 is from the tau star system which is a 4-a structure as it's named. The "alternate dimension" is a figure of speech. Additionally, this structure does not have a star seed.

"The Cauldron gives birth to Star Seeds. These Star Seeds are concepts which give form to everything in reality. It is directly stated the forms are nothing but "fleeting shadows" compared to the quality of Star Seeds and Sailor Crystals. In that scene Sailor Galaxia mocks Sailor Moon for caring about the physical bodies of her friends when the Sailor Crystals have true power and are indestructible.

Within the Galaxy Cauldron, Star Seeds exist in their most Complete and Perfect state, their true essence unclouded by the imperfections of material form. This is similar to Plato’s allegory of the cave, in which the world we perceive is likened to a shadows on a cave wall and the true forms. Just as the shadows in the cave are dim reflections of the higher reality, the individual incarnations of Star Seeds are incomplete manifestations of their Perfected Archetypes within the Cauldron. The Cauldron functions, in this sense, like Plato’s World of Forms: a Metaphysical origin point where the true nature of all things resides.

Star Seeds are treated and shown as being superior and more fundamental than the physical forms they create. They are the True Essence."

This is not even close to Plato's allegory. All I see is the star seeds being brought back to the cauldron, but they can be destroyed, knocked off, and taken out of someone's body, physically manipulated, stuff like this.

"Inside the Cauldron, all things were one. Regardless of whether they were people, spirits, Gods, planets, or incorporeal beings, all things are were one. And when they return to the Cauldron they become apart of it once more. The Cauldron is essentially a purely conceptual realm made of unactualized possibility and potential"

no it isn't, it's just the equivalent of the Big Bang as a high-end, the phrase "originating as one" is a figure of speech that encapsules the origin of a good part of the Sailor Moon universe, but it shouldn't be taken literally.

"3. Not reachable by lower states of existence

To enter the Cauldron, one must first be erased from existence. They are erased from all of history: past, present, and future. Then they are dissolved and lost in its oceans.

When Mamoru fell into the Cauldron, he was erased from History and so was his daughter was erased as well. This is not simple chain reaction because of Causality. Earlier in the Arc, Mamoru was already erased from existence by Sailor Galaxia. Neither his daughter or his future self were immediately affected. Sailor Moon Characters have Acausality, and the Cauldron ignores it entirely.

More evidence that the Cauldron is also not adhered to the flow of time is Death Phantom. Death Phantom is a character that was defeated in the future, but he already returned to the Cauldron when Sailor Moon reached it in the past. Essentially speaking, one cannot exist anywhere in reality, the Future, Past or Present and in the Cauldron at the same time. The Cauldron is independent of all time and location of the lower reality. It follows its own set of logic that supersedes the lower reality.

To enter the Cauldron you must be erased and become one with it, achieving and maintaining a Perfected state of existence, a Perfect Form. To leave the Cauldron you must either be reincarnated and given a new history, or be regenerated (High-Godly) into a lower form. The power to do so also coming from the Cauldron."

The cauldron is the maintainer of the milky way galaxy, but please always read the statements with a grain of salt. If it's placed in the middle of the galaxy, then logic dictates it mostly has jurisdiction over said galaxy and a bit more. However, since galaxies and solar systems are so big, it is generally acceptable to use big words to describe them. Therefore, I generally throw out most of these statements.

the cauldron can't be more than 3-C or 3-B, low 2-c at best lol

So are you just going to leave it Hades, or are you going to ask permission to post this?

I'm probably not going to post there, since MeiouHades seems to have better argumentation skills, but if he wants to use my interpretation he is welcome to do so.

Jesus christ what leads these people to honestly believe the galaxy cauldron is a platonic concept this is a moviecodec level argument

Also the way @Iamunanimousinthat speaks is a bit uncanny since he thinks his own interpretation is the holy bible

"It's arguments like this is is what drains the fun of vsbattling, why should people have to literally prove basic reading comprehension. Things do not need to be spelled out like its kindergarten."

I'm just quoting this because while @Iamunanimousinthat does make a good point regarding vs battling, he also represents a lot of what's wrong with it.

Especially when we talk about tier 1 beings and verses, and how we are not applying the same logic across them all (because you can't. different series, different authors, different philosophy). This is the same hobby where master roshi was blocked for years from being promoted to moon level because "outlier" and many people to this day deny Kami and the Kaioshins have creation abilities because "it's not shown on screen".

Oh this is good, I'm gonna use this. This is more helpful than you realize
So this just happened huh....

Man, just when I thought he couldn't destroy his own credibility even further

Heh.

I never thought I'd say this, since I'm not generally out to make CRTs, but since the nature of the SM cosmology is one of the things I adamantly disagree with, I decided what the hell, let's try this.

So ultimately it turns out it was all related to dragon ball more or less.

Sailor Moon fans love the series for their characters, female power, fashion trends, not to stick it to Goku

Don't do anything please. This DB "downgrade" is the perfect example of what happens when you just let emotions dictate your actions and you push out rushed threads just because

I won't do any CRTs going forward. Honestly, I'm not the best at arguing and don't really plan on investing in online spaces anymore tbh

Yeah it seems they have a more formal etiquette than I thought, fair enough

Usagi realizing she was made a world destroyer all this time in order to stick it to Goku...

God I want Death Battle to do Goku Vs Sailor Moon so bad just so I can watch the chaos unfold.

She has Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Sora, Seiya, and Madoka as popular opponents. She gets neg-diffed passively by all along with her verse, but it's not as fun as if Goku were her opponent tbh.

Wonder Woman: So female Goku Vs Superman.
Supergirl: No, I love both characters but the toxicness behind it makes me glad few people bring it up.
Sora: Actually fun, only problem is it just got popular in recent years and has to stand up to her legacy matches.
Seiya: In my opinion, her best matchup objectively.
Madoka: It's fine, I would choose Sakura over Madoka.
If they do Seiya than they should just do both Anime (Toei) versions only
