Elden Ring General Discussion

Theoretically, if Heolstor can pull people from other universes to fight for him

Could he just pull an extremely overpowered character from another universe to fight for em?

Phase 4 just has him summon Wally West or some shitđź’€
Imagine if bro had summoned the Soul of Cinder or god forbid the Ashen One.

fought phase 3 Adel

Once someone beats him, I need to know if his new relic has a new description.

The expedition itself doesn't have one, so I doubt the new one does, but still

I have a question regarding the Demigods. Miquella's profile states that as a Demigod, he has the following ability...

  • Immortality (Types 1 and 5. All demigods are immortal due to their fated deaths removed from the Elden Ring via sealing away the rune of death.)
5: Deathless Immortality: Characters who exist unbound by conventional life or death, or do not exist at all, and thus cannot be traditionally killed. Typically, abilities such as Existence Erasure are needed to destroy them.

If the Demigods cannot die by both conventional and unconventional means, how is the Tarnished able to kill them? Is this just a game mechanic?

Also, how does this affect Demigods in matches? I know they can still be incapacitated, knocked out, BFR'd, or erased from existence.

I'm sure this question has already been answered, but it's really been stumping me

I had this explained to me in one of the Morgott vs threads, but Type 5 immortality does not mean a character can not be disabled in a conventional way.

In Elden Ring, the removal of destined death didn’t prevent death in a traditional sense. It created a system whereby dead beings are returned to and reborn through the Erdtree. This means that when characters die, their essence is returned to the Erdtree and brought back in some form.

There’s also the fact that Destined Death is more specifically the fated death of the demigods, and by removing it, the point at which they should have died is no longer applicable.

That may not be the best explanation, but TL;DR, not being able to truly die doesn’t mean they can’t have their neck broken or some shit to where they can’t fight

beat everdark sovereign Adel. On the winning run me and my bro were paired with a revenant. Near the very end of the fight we just barely got the Revenant up from death but we both died shortly afterward but thankfully the Revenant had her ult and revived both of us immediately. Our call exploded into us both shouting "AURA AND HYPE MOMENTS," and then we beat it when it grabbed my bro, I used waterfowl dance alongside the revenant's dragon fire to finish it off. my bro was literally at one hp when we won. Truly this game is Elden Ring: Aura and Hype Moments.

Wonder how fast Everdark Adels moving in his phase transition attack, even the camera has trouble keepin' up.
Presumably just lightning speed, since he seemingly transforms his entire body into it (it also has the same visual as Placidusax's lightning cloud attack which lends credence to that also being a lightning timing feat, but I'll put that in the pile)

Ngl, the more impressive thing for Everdark Adel imo is the fact that he literally spins his body to create a huge storm covering the entire area. I really, REALLY need a map file of that thing because holy that might actually be a pretty cool lifting strength feat.

Would it be calculated by using the playable area of the arena or the entire thing including out of bounds parts?

Probably everything. There's a visual I saw of Caligo's one fog attack, which is relatively similar, and I believe it goes out of bounds and extends to the height of those three things. I genuinely just need a map file and we could cool so much with these feats. Sooooo if any of you have the game on PC, let me know.

Everyone: Waiting on the Nightreign guide to see how they classify Heolstor cutting open space

Me: Waiting on the Nightreign guide to see how they classify Gnoster's moon beams (possible speed feat??)

Generally how strong are we placing the new bosses at? Are they all like God Level in Elden Ring or what?
Heolstor I think will be around the same level as other gods. He could honestly be higher, especially when considering how powerful the Night itself is (it's of my belief that the Night is on par with the Frenzied Flame, since it may be the only thing in lore that the greater will actually directly instructs someone to deal with. For everything else it uses interpretive vassals, or just doesn't care at all, implying it is actually a threat to it).

The minor Nightlords are at least as powerful as the demigods, but may downscale off Heolstor since they posses aspects of Heolstor's/the Night's power.

Interesting.

Edit: Also I just thought of something. Who was the one who whittled the Bolt of Gransax? Did the Tarnished do that or did someone else do that and just left it there for some reason? If the former then that's a neat intelligence feat for them I suppose, being able to just randomly make some shit from giant magical weapons on the spot.

You know I was gonna mention that most boss weapons/weapons of large characters aren't their actual weapons, just representations of them that the character can use... but I totally didn't realize it genuinely says in the description that it was whittled lmao.

Realistically I wouldn't say the Tarnished, bit it would make sense since we need to crawl up to a thick part of the spear to get it.

Right? It wouldn't make any sense either for someone to make it and then just leave it there considering its a Legendary Armament. Also if Gransax eventually gets a profile we're just gonna give his spear all the abilities of the Bolt of Gransax since its literally just a little fragment of it right?

Question: Would Greyoll get two keys, one for her when she wasn't totally immobile and then another for when she is but has all of her little offspring guarding her? Also what do her offspring scale to?

Not sure, unless theres an item description i forgot about theres nothing that really talks about how strong Greyoll was in her prime. Though i guess you could probably calculate the attacks of drakes but scaled up to Greyolls size.

I think its more so a matter of Greyoll not being able to walk with how old she is now.

In my opinion, I'd say Gladius is above Morgott but below top-tier demigods like Malenia, Messmer, and Radahn

Adel, Gnoster, Maris, Libra, Fulghor, and Caligo would all probably be top-tier demigod level, with some possibly being higher depending on how their sky feats are calculated(considering stuff like the stars in Maris' arena and the tornados and ice spikes in Caligos arena) and how their lore is interpreted

Heolstor, lowkey i'd say is either Elden Beast Level or Stronger, especially with the whole universe pulling thing, and the fact he destroyed the erdtree, which i feel like the Elden Beast would try to do something to stop from happening.

Ahh fair enough then, mb on that one.

Enhanced Fulghor was extremely easy compared to adel, but was also a more enjoyable fight so there's that

bro fulghor was pretty damned neat and so was Adel they were hella cinematic

Now here is the question.... what are they gonna do for Heolster

Isn't it a combination of both honestly? Cause I feel even with as old as she is, she would still be capable of flying around and be dangerous if she wasn't stuck on the ground by the Rot

I don't think that's really what's holding her in. I think she's just old.

To be honest, I don't think he'll get an Everdark sovereign. First and foremost in the article announcing the Everdark sovereigns, the other night lords were mentioned except Night Aspect. Second, the Bosses that are being turned into Everdark Soverigns had unused attacks found in the game files that their enhanced version used. To my knowledge, Heolster doesn't have such things. Additionally, in all of the boss ost's except Heolster, there is an unused third phase that gets used in the EDS version, Heolster uses his entire song. Thirdly, Heolster was the only guy from the original lineup who already had three phases cooked in. Lastly the EDS relics from the bosses are purple while their normal versions are blue. Heolster's relic was already purple from the start. So in conclusion, Heolster is already a "Everdark Soverign" in mechanics due to him having three phases, using all parts of his song, and having a purple relic upon defeat. And so won't have a separate enhanced version.

Which is a shame. It would've been fun to see what they could've done to make this guy even more insane. Although... just because he can't become purple(rare) doesn't mean he can't become gold(legendary)(cope).

I don't care we getting him to actual god hood and seeing him actively start big bang 2 electric boogaloo to get all of ER to tier 2
What u talkin' about? Elden Ring already became tier 1 when the tarnished soloed Wally West by using the pizza cutter and serpent hunter glitch, adoy
