All Purpose Dragon Ball Thread

Its because of bulma stating the universe has an edge, even though she has no actual knowledge of the true scope of the universe, which she is called out on. Bulma isn't even the smartest person on earth either.
I still dont understand how the **** a universe having an edge disqualifies it as infinite since an infinite sized universe can still have an edge via bubble theory

Yeah I saw that Bulma statement argument pointed out (I personally don't think it sufficiently debunked the bulk of evidence suggesting an infinite universe, but that's just me).

But I guess my main question is: what else would need to be done for an Infinite DBS Universe to be accepted?

Solid video. Unless I'm missing something, I think bubble theory strengthens the case for an infinite universe here.
I think we need someone make a content revision for this as I lack context to whatever happened in the infinite universe thrhead. But we also need not use the argument that Bulma is stupid as staffs highly disagree with it

Agreed.

(Granted, I don't actually think the "Bulma is stupid" argument is that bad. Someone pointed out that it's implausible that she can create a time machine & achieve all sorts of insane technological feats, yet doesn't fully understand the size of the universe. On its face, this is fair, but I think this point is undermined by the fact that Future Bulma was capable of creating a highly advanced time machine, yet wasn't capable of building a space-ship to collect the Dragon Balls from New Namek. To be fair though, these are different versions of Bulma, and one could argue that DBS Bulma is simply more capable than Future Bulma.)

Also, were there any more recent threads on it? I couldn't find anything newer than this one, and there were more people supporting the Infinite universe than disagreeing on it.

A statement in the anime or manga that the universe is infinite.

The problem is that you tried to upgrade DBS to Outerversal lol, canon Dragon Ball is nowhere close to that, and never will.
Dragon Ball Heroes has more ground to reach Outerversal levels, but even them can't reach it as of now.
If you ever try to upgrade Dragon Ball in the Tier 1 ranks, please focus only on Xenoverse/Heroes.

Why many Dragon Ball fans act as if Super is the only thing that exists in the franchise? It's annoying af
Kinda rich coming from someone who lives and breathes GT. GT fans never fail to amaze me with their lack of a sense of irony

I'm a DBH + Toei fan overall, plus the dbs manga, DBS anime is kinda overrated in my opinion. I don't really care about canon DB if I'm honest, while I like all of Dragon Ball, Heroes and Toei adjust more to the old Z vibes than the childish, cartoonish and light tones the Super anime has. Tho I've seen there is some subtle friction between Toei fans and DBS fans in this website aswell, since years.

Does anyone knows?
Beerus is the strongest to a significant extent. Quitela can fight him on a decent level but Beerus did have to deal with everyone else ganging up on him. Rest appear to all be pretty even. Toppo states Jiren has more battle power than Belmod.

For context Grand Priest orders them to go all out so there is no real possibility any GoD held back. Albeit Belmod chose to pretend to be asleep to avoid most of the match.

This fandom friction isn’t really necessary guys lol

But I do think both Toei and Super both have infinite universes.

Bulma is an idiot on the subject of the Universe and was refuted by Jaco, but the guys use this pretext every time to stop us
Yeah, and the idea that she would have a blindspot like this is also represented in-universe (she needed her dad’s help to reverse engineer Namekian ship IIRC; Bulma is obviously an incredible genius but she isn’t always correct. I noticed on the other thread it was pointed out that Jaco didn’t necessarily ‘refute’ her, but I think the plurality of evidence from secondary sources combined with Bulma having these blindspots sets a good foundation to argue that she was simply incorrect, even if Jaco wasn’t strongly disagreeing with her).

Also, even if she was right, the bubble universe theory still supports the idea that the universe could still be infinite as far as I can tell.

Maybe a content revision thread would be wise (I’d do it myself but I’m very inexperienced with posting on here & don’t wanna mess it up).

Sometimes ignoring is a blessing, bro

Let the discord guys do it, otherwise they'll go after you like they did here before 🤣

I also agree the DBS Anime macrocosms are infinite, the problem is that the Staff in this site is very biased against DBS too becouse its the most popular installment of the franchise as of now. Mods that support Dragon Ball here, prefer Toeiverse or Heroes over DBS iirc, as you can see that mods have no problem accepting Toei stuff such as the Infinite Universe thingy or abstract existance for Janemba, however for the DBS Anime is another can of worms, you can't imagine how ridicously hard was for us to get Infinite Zamasu Abstract existance, heck there were even downgrades trying to remove the ability from his profile entirely. And many people will come up with the dumbest arguments against a Infinite U7 such as Whis taking time to travel through distinct points of the universe, or that the otherworld is not a separate dimension from the living realm, etc.

I can’t speak to any potential biases that might exist, but I don’t think it’s super productive to emphasize it when making the case (pointing out inconsistencies is good of course, though).

I think the case is easy enough to make if it’s just pushed and argued well enough in good faith.

Yeah I vehemently agree with your reasoning. Also, weird but....as of now, any immensurable speed arguments are treated as an outlier in the DBS Anime simply becouse "it doesn't make sense". Which is crazy if you ask me.

Isn't the current against the argument that it's a outliner due x reasons (Yeah I'm not going to repeat the whole thing) (even though some say said reasons aren't good ones and should apply to the MFTL+ characters and Yada yada yada) and atleast the staff even stated it wouldn't be a outliner if there were more feats (Like in heroes it would also be a outliner if there weren't so many feats supporting it)

I’m personally skeptical of immeasurable speed Dragon Ball, but I think the focus should be on Infinite speed for now. The immeasurable speed matter can be dealt with later :P

I mean if infinite speed gets accepted what's going against immeasurable speed not being accepted?

Honestly, even if there are only 1 or 2 feats for the DBS Anime, that should be enough as long as those aren't contradicted later on (they aren't).

And wouldn't be an outlier saying the characters have this speed, we are talking about beings capable of blowing up the Universe just by flexing their little finger.

Heroes already has immensurable speed, the real task will be applying these ratings to any other DB continuity besides the games.

DBS Bulma is explicitly inferior to Future Bulma in regards to Time Travel. She was incapable of creating a machine even with her Future self's notes on how to do it and a broken machine to reverse-engineer and repair. And Beerus shut down any chance of her actually figuring it out and creating one.

Albeit DBS Bulma also has far more going on in terms of space. She has been to space far more often. But we have never seen or heard of her having a particular focus on astrophysics or cosmology. She is preoccupied with cosmetics while her father and Pilaf are fixated with robotics.

Any way I can politely push for it?
No. No you can't. You'll get us a discussion rule, nothing more. I'm not sure what's with everyone here overestimating their ability to achieve something that has already been argued for unsuccessfully, many times.

Not to mention there have been countless examples already of people attempting controversial CRTs on their own and (unsurprisingly) getting rejected instantly because they didn't research past CRTs on such topics.

So I'll say this once again, do not attempt controversial CRTs on your own just because you've managed to convince yourself that you can get it passed. There are people working of stuff more strategically, just wait patiently. And if you really want to contribute, just let us know, but do NOT attempt anything on your own.

What's a discussion rule
Basically if a proposed revision is rejected multiple times it can get banned as a topic. So unless new evidence arises for it you aren't allowed to make any more CRTs in that vein.

So, for example, if Infinite Universe is rejected repeatedly a rule can be made to ban CRTs for Infinite Universe. The only exception being if we get new evidence for it (which is unlikely at this point).
