Bowser Vs Big Mom

Haki increases in potency when the user gets more powerful, however the ability to resist the effects are not dependent on stats, as it's Big Mom dominating the wills of others.

Ah, ok thanks. I assumed it was like DBZ where the effectiveness of hax depends on how strong the characters are. (I’m on Zou arc rn so it’s not been explained a ton yet). Checked on Bowser’s profile and in base he has 2 layers of resistance to mind manip, (also mb the item I’m giving Bowser is called lazy shell and not lucky shell) and combined with the lazy shell’s resistances it seems like it wouldn’t work.

I mean, Haki is also layered. For example, someone like Vice Admiral could resist the Warcury's but couldn't resist Joyboy's. What's most important here is potency.
Bowser's base resistance is based on not having his mind being taken over by Lucien, however this is a feat that Luffy preformed a hundred times over back in Thriller Bark. The ability to even control and use Conqueror's Haki demands far more willpower than that, and Big Mom is among the best in the verse.
She's even relative to people like Rayleigh, who according to Oda is able to knock out ad overwhelm 100000+ individual wills with ease.

if Haki's got enough/more layers, then it works. if not, then it doesn't. plain and simple

Alright, here's a long shot for team Bowser - could Non-Physical Interaction be a wincon? Possibly damaging Big Mom's soul to weaken her Soru Soru no Mi abilities? Maybe?

I mean I tried to give Bowser the benefit of the doubt since his hax could be really potent, but One Piece (and Big Mom specifically) is accepted to have 7 layers.

Big Mom can not be harmed by soul attacks as Brook who had the same ability could damage her soul creatures but couldn't even scratch her because of her passive Haki protection.

then Bowser gets bum-rushed by Big Mom's Haki
and if that's her immediate go-to, then there really ain't any wincons for Bowser, cuz he favors CQC and typical fire breath a majority of the time

Has anyone in One Piece demonstrated being able to fearhax people stronger than them?
Plenty of characters have resisted the effects of Conquerer's Haki despite having worse Haki than the user, such as Jinbe and plenty of the Beasts Pirates.
Some characters with zero haki whatsoever like Brook and the other Haki-less straw hat pirates and big mom pirates have resisted/not been affected by Big Mom's Conquerer's Haki aura before.
It seems kinda dumb that Haki users can just fearhax their way through several verses just because they say so, especially people who are vastly superior to them. You're basically saying fodder like Doflamingo Chinjao and Marineford Luffy can just perma incap Bowser even if we used his 4A key just cuz they have Haoshoku, something that has never worked on stronger opponents, and even some weaker opponents
For stronger foes (like Marineford Luffy vs Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia), the stronger opponent is never actually incapacitated, they're just taken aback a little bit. If that happens with Bowser then Bowser trucks through it and just wins
Even if all of this was true and Big Mom just fearhaxes, she still can't take him down in any capacity cuz Bowser starts out 2 times stronger (Big Mom upscales from 4.56 Petatons, Bowser is physically greatly superior to Mario who is 7.29 Petatons) and has Mid High which Big Mom can't deal with, plus Bowser resists literally everything else Big Mom has so she can't take him down. Not to mention Bowser has several times more stamina than Big Mom does, so anything she tries to do, Bowser would just facetank and outlast until Big Mom loses.

heck if we're allowing power ups Bowser has even more ways of winning like Time Stop Transmutation, can tank the fearhax with Super Suit, giga amp his stats (including speed), Empathetic Manipulation. I don't see Big Mom doing much here

Only problem is that Big Mom’s Haki literally works with a singular stare. Bowser is given a thing identical to the super suit but apparently it was accepted that Haki has 5 layers of hax or some shit because it was in a post even though it isn’t on any of the profiles.

but once again, how does Big Mom get through his regeneration?
He resists literally all of Big Mom's means of offense outside of Haoshoku, so she can't actually do anything

seems kinda weird that Conquerer's Haki can affect literally anyone without a SPECIFIC resistance to fear manipulation, but alright

Haki can negate regen up to Mid-High (it's on Haki page).
This is because willpower and strong desires are a system within OP just like Haki itself. When Luffy resisted the influence of 100 shadows (each shadow is a soul with consciousness) on his mind he did not use Haki, but Will alone. This applies to every person in One Piece, even supporting characters without haki or superhuman abilities resist direct mind manipulation by force of will. Sanji's soul cannot hit a woman, not even if forced by direct mind manipulation.
The more will a character has, the stronger their Conqueror's Haki is. However, the patterns of will in One Piece are not the same as in other verses. In addition to willpower being a supernatural energy in One Piece, the work is gradually showing that this even gave rise to all know devil fruits.
