Greetings
Today, I plan on making a few changes in Vampire Hunter D's overall powerlevel and scaling, but adding some new feats and statements, aswell as a much needed revamp on D's profile
(Not that small btw)
Early VHD Scaling
My first topic will be his keys: Currently, D has 5 of them dividing his haxes and attack potency, going from Tier 8 all the way to Tier 1. The main problem with this is basically its existence, as surprising as that may sound, since it creates a massive logic problem in the series. As a fan and a reader of the series, it's quite interesting on how the scale of the story after Vol 10 can be seen as way, way higher in terms of power display, as most of the feats described prior to Volume 11 don't come anywhere close to how the series gets after Pale Fallen Angel. However, I'm here to show you that things aren't as obvious as they may seem to be
Because even as early as novel 1, D is already 10000 years old and has been hunting the Nobles since forever and ever, he's already stated to be the greatest vampire hunter, and those statements, alongside numerous others about his fame, should show us that nobles have been dealing with him for many years and, thanks to Vol 11 onwards, most nobles are varying from 4-A (Thanks to Grand Duke Bergenzy oneshoting thousands of Stars in the sky thanks to being powered up by an tech based energy source), to 3-C (The Thing is stated to be able to nuke the Milky Way and Greylancer matched him. Other machine generated enough energy to blow the entire Milky Way Galaxy a hundred times over, with said energy powering up Chaney) to High 3-A (Thanks to many nobles scaling to D who massively outscales the Big Bang generated by yet another Nobility Tech, said feats are already on D's profile). The nobles also have an Forcefield powered up by the movement of the Milky Way, which, as KLOL once calced (Casual calc, results may vary) to be 4-B
Now, granted, some of these feats are done through technology powering up some nobles, but as the series clearly shows, Nobles are by nature extremely intelligent, not only in their ability to manipulate or execute military tactics, but also their highly advanced technology. The nobility have invented technology such as an android who can hold a pocket reality full of stars, machines that can cure previously impossible to cure diseases, machines that can turn their physical forms into gases or illusions, ships capable of Massively FTL+ travel, machines that can cover the universe in darkness over time (The Universe is Infinite), coffins with infinite sized dimensions and many traps, as well as much more.
Now ask yourself, in a series with stuff like that, does D being Tier 8 or 6 even make sense ? Through thousands of years of fighting the nobility, and starting the story as an already accomplished hunter, he never had to deal with one noble at least that was using something to power him up to these levels ? Considering we have 30 volumes covered, the scale for the series goes way more into cosmic levels then the lower levels currently listed on earlier versions of D, since ever since Vol 11, D is scaled to Tier 3 and finds numerous foes on that level. Now, not only the very logic of the series already shows the flaws of this scaling, have also feats to back up higher scaling on early series:
Now, one important thing for this to make even more sense is to talk about the Sacred Ancestor. Granted, there are two "forms" of him seen though the series: we have the "God" version of him, stated to be omnipresent everywhere and nowhere
RM97's Sacred Ancestor blog goes into full details on his True Form and how they differ from his Physical manifestations, I leave this blog here because it lays on the foundation of the following relevant conclusions:
To put a more solid tier for his physical manifestation, we have Greylancer's statements about an version of the Sacred Ancestor from over 10000 years ago, where he was defeated and for the first time knew the meaning of fear, Greylancer is most known for his, well, lance, which has the power to destroy the Milky Way and overpower a foe who can do the same (3-C). It should also be noted that Greylancer is stated to be a "Noble among Nobles", so there's enough material to certainly say he's above Greater Nobles. Professor Chaney, when powered up by an energy strong enough to blow away the Milky Way a hundred times over and bring objects from a hundred million light eyars in an instant, stated his intentions to be accomplish things surpassing even the Sacred Ancestor's feats, however, said feats are not really stated to be only about SA's weaker versions, and it also comes with a MFTL+ feat that massively outscales early versions of VHD, thus, I won't consider this last part as referencing physical Sacred Ancestor, seems safer and "lower end" that way, giving it to Sacred Ancestor's God Form
Said speed feat scales, however, to Vol 11 Onwards D, as he defated Chaney
Conclusion: Physical manifestations of the Sacred Ancestor should be at the very least 3-C, Meinster scales thanks to his rather impressive fight against Traveler in Black, Novel 2 D could harm physical SA and Novel 7 D defeated Meinster directly in combat.
TLDR, I suggest a new 3-C key for D, a new key for Sacred Ancestor's Past Physical Manifestations and an upgrade for Baron Meinster
Attack Potency Descriptions
D:
Tier: At least 3-C normally, Low 2-C at maximum power, higher with 4 Elements and in Full Vampire Form | High 3-A, up to at least Low 2-C at maximum power, higher with 4 elements and in Full Vampire Form, up to Low 1-C with Akashic Records
Blog for the intended profile
Sacred Ancestor's Physical/Past key:
Baron Meinster:
Also, I'm not here to upgrade every noble to 3-C or High 3-A, I'm here to upgrade D to that level, make a key for physical manifestations of the SA and upgrade Meinster, other characters may gain an upgrade if they push D to either fight seriously or use his stronger forms (As it would imply his base form wasn't enough to defeat them), but that will be the second part of the general CRT I'm planning for VHD, it will take time, since, well, it covers all translated volumes released up to today
There are only two more points to be discussed here:
D's Resistances to the Akashic Records
This is actually not really that complicated
D's currently listed as someone who has a MASSIVE array of resistances at a 5D level thanks to Resisting the Akashic Records, this, however, also messes up with the logic of the series, since the Akashic Records have all the powers of the verse at its reach, but D can be affected by a number of things through the series (Like, for example, being turned into a mini-sun), so unless these abilities affecting him are beyond Akashic Records level (Something completely baseless as it is literally the absolute God Tier of the series, beyond D, beyond Sacred Ancestor's highest dreams), D simply doesn't have Low 1-C resistances
D simply is completely absent from the Akashic Records, which makes him Acausal, being missing from the records shields him for its uses. As stated by the Akashic Records Explanation Page, "Even when D is missing from the Records, he can be forcefully inserted into the ether to make them follow the records. However, D is not only able to resist it but can also change the Akashic Records", but this also doesn't mean he has all those Low 1-C resistances, since to be resistant all it takes would be to evolve his own Acausal nature, plus, the feat is regarded as D rewriting the records:
Thus, D's Resistance to the Akashic Records should be edited to better explain how he has no Low 1-C resistances besides having a really powerful Acausality
Last, but certainly not least, this crt here was accepted but never applied, and I shall finaly add it

Now, not only the very logic of the series already shows the flaws of this scaling, have also feats to back up higher scaling on early series:
- By Raiser of Gales, which is Volume 2, D was already dealing with his daddy Drac- ahem, Sacred Ancestor, as seen when he willed Sacred Ancestor to take on a physical form so that he can attack the latter's body. SA is omnipresent even in higher dimensional realms and is beyond even D's NPI and Range, which explains why D had to do this, the novel itself makes the point of this being needed because of range limitations instead of power limitations, but the thing is: It worked, he actually wounded him. In no point whatsoever is stated that SA got weaker by having a physical manifestation, only that it was the only way D could reach him. This feat is particularly impressive as Sacred Ancestor, by the "current" time of the series, is already a God among even the strongest of the nobles, having fought the Elder God, who gave Vol 18 (Post Tyrant Stars High 3-A D) a hard time and currently listed as Low 2-C alongside Sacred Ancestor. Granted, it makes a point on this being an attack that needed all of D's strength in order to be performed, which also tells us an important piece of information: D holds back
- Still in Raiser of Gales, D performed a massively underestimated feat. D was sealed inside a Dimension and with the help of his Left Hand (By gathering the 4 elements) he was able to break through the dimension with such force that it literally warped the entire Timeline causing many events and incidents to disappear and occur such as disappearance of Jack the Ripper and an Alpha Class Black Hole as well as linking of two completely different points in time. This alternate dimension was literally onto him and not only it couldn't stop D, but breaking through it caused a a Low 2-C feat, done by D while powered up by the 4 elements, so not his base form
- After Tyrant Stars, Kikuchi wrote a postscript which contains key descriptions of a few nobles D faced, I'll transcript the entire text:
"At present, the frontier inhabited by humans is divided into northern, southern, eastern, and western sectors, each with assorted feudal lords or controllers. Count Magnus Lee. who appears in the first novel, is one such person. "
- By Mysterious Journey to the North Sea, D fights and defeats Baron Meinster, who has both feats and statements that are being overlooked. First, he is described as a monster feared even by the nobility
"Even Nobility were known to enter Meinster's Castle and never come out again. He was the only Noble to remain when the "Legendary Traveler in Black" came to chastise the Florence Nobility for their cruel sport. After a conflict that reduced the homes of the Nobles to rubble instantly, wiped out all animal life, and even changed the shape of mountains, Meinster was defeated; his corpse was cast into the sea for all eternity after measures had been taken to ensure he would never return to dry land again"
The fight was against the Sacred Ancestor, he is the "Legendary Traveler in Black" and Meinster actually gave him some trouble and lasted for an extended amount of time, with Meinster even managing to not be killed. Currently, Meinster is listed as High 6-C, but has hype, lore and scaling that should put him above the average Greater Noble from later VHD novels and he safely had a better performance against SA then Greylancer had
- The Sacred Ancestor's physical appearances & forms are just avatars of his true form
- The Sacred Ancestor's true form is a formless presence
- The Sacred Ancestor' true form is a God tier within the verse reaching up to Universal+ tier on his own
To put a more solid tier for his physical manifestation, we have Greylancer's statements about an version of the Sacred Ancestor from over 10000 years ago, where he was defeated and for the first time knew the meaning of fear, Greylancer is most known for his, well, lance, which has the power to destroy the Milky Way and overpower a foe who can do the same (3-C). Blog for the intended profile
Obs: Max Power D scales to Low 2-C because he forced a physical form onto "True" Sacred Ancestor, with the novel making a point it was only to ensure D could touch him, as such, it uses SA True TierAttack Potency: At least Galaxy level normally (Is the strongest vampire hunter in the frontier and has fought the nobility for thousands of years, with their weaponry casually reaching these levels of power. Defeated Baron Meinster even when the later was capable of fighting the "Legendary Traveler in Black" for an extended period of time), up to Universe level+ at maximum power (By channeling all his physical and mental energy through his sword, D managed to wound the Sacred Ancestor after forcing him into a physical form by changing its "infinitely compacted darkness form" ), higher with 4 Elements (Was sealed inside a Dimension and with the help of his Left Hand he was able to break through said dimension with such force that it warped the entire timeline causing many events and incidents to disappear and occur such as disappearance of Jack the Ripper and an Alpha Class Black Hole as well as linking of two completely different points in time) and in Full Vampire Form (Far more power than his base form) | High Universe level (The Big Bang Accelerator could produce the same results as the big bang that created the universe. Vince who was possessed by one half of the destroyer, casually tanked this, negating the blast and proceeding to destroy the accelerator. Lord Vlad Balazs proceeded to slay Vince, and stated D's aura exceeded the Destroyer's. Furthermore The Guide is able to make the destroyer powerless, and later The Guide fused with Lord Vlad, amplifying their power by 5 times, however D proceeded to kill Vlad. Further more he also killed Baryon Byron Balazs, who could physically contend with Vlad. Got stronger after this, and matched General Gaskell in Dark Road. Later during Tyrant's Stars, D fought Lawrence Valcua, who was vastly more powerful to the combined might of his seven assassins, where even Speeny individually was able to effortlessly defeat and kill Gaskell. The Universe in the Noble Greylancer novel is also stated to be "Endless" and was stated by Grand Duke Bergenzy to be "Limitless") [35xBaseline], up to at least Universe level+ at maximum power (Able to surpass his previous levels of power), higher with 4 Elements (Able to far surpass his previous level of power in this state) and in Full Vampire Form (His strongest state. In his Astral Form, a Full Vampire D was able to absorb and channel the full power of the Astral Realm, a mystical alternate reality that was large enough to contain an infinite gate made of The Sacred Ancestor's will, controlling the very life of said realm and absorbing all of its energy, with the dimension being equal to the regular main Universe, the "Real World", which is a whole Space-Time continuum). Many of his attacks ignore durability; Low Complex Multiverse level with the Akashic Records (Can rewrite the Akashic Records in this state, which contains all of creation, which is made up of multiple universes, and realms that transcend space-time, with even a part leaking being able to rewrite everything. D used to rewrite the event of Tyrant's Stars, giving his client a happy life)
Keys: Vols 1-10 | Vol 11 Onwards
Sacred Ancestor's Physical/Past key:
Attack Potency: At least Galaxy level (Fought and defeated Noble Greylancer, with his Lance being stronger than The Thing who can destroy the Milky Way and channel said power through Greylancer. Defeated Baron Meinster who was feared even among the Nobility)
Baron Meinster:
I welcome you guys to suggest if they should be just 3-C, or just High 3-A, I'm open for suggestions on how safe we should go about these ratings although I support At least 3-C for themAttack Potency: At least Galaxy level (A Greater Noble who was feared even among the Nobility, managed to fight the Legendary Traveler in Black for an extended period of time better than Greylancer did. Gave D a hard time)
Also, I'm not here to upgrade every noble to 3-C or High 3-A, I'm here to upgrade D to that level, make a key for physical manifestations of the SA and upgrade Meinster, other characters may gain an upgrade if they push D to either fight seriously or use his stronger forms (As it would imply his base form wasn't enough to defeat them), but that will be the second part of the general CRT I'm planning for VHD, it will take time, since, well, it covers all translated volumes released up to today

“D,” Valcua said, prodding the Hunter. “It’s written in the akashic record. Your fate is to do exactly as I told you. Go ahead and drink.”
Sue shut her eyes.
A white fog drifted through their world.
Hot breath fell on the nape of Sue’s neck.
I knew his breath would be warm, she thought.
A mysterious peace of mind enveloped Sue.
Her right shoulder grew lighter unexpectedly. Reaching his hand out before him, D had caught hold of something.
“No! You—” Valcua cried out in shock.
He saw two points of light blazing from the depths of the fog, so red they froze his blood—they were D’s eyes.
“You—you son of a *****,” the grand duke stammered. “You can change the akashic record?”
Sue felt the warmth of the hand that rested on her left shoulder. There was no mistaking the strong palm of the hand of the man who’d kept her safe."
Thus, D's Resistance to the Akashic Records should be edited to better explain how he has no Low 1-C resistances besides having a really powerful Acausality
