And originated in the Dragon Ball Z TV anime, not in the Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans story.

I'll concede, though. Evidently, the history of the Saiyans and Tuffles depicted in episode 27 of GT and described in the Perfect Files matches up perfectly with their history depicted in Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans, which is evidence that I have no real way of arguing against.

The only evidence supporting Wrath of the Dragon being canon is: (1) the film does not not fit within the timeline, and (2) Goku uses the Dragon Fist; let's be honest, the sword argument is completely and utterly irrelevant because not only does Trunks's sword only appear in the series opening, but the sword is different.

Huh, now I'm actually interested in indexing Hatchiyack. The only genuine obstacles are the fact that I can't locate a transcript of the original Japanese dialogue (only the OVA remake's transcript is readily available), and that a lot of the story's promotional material is tied to a game released for the Playdia and the Famicom.

Talking with actual Japanese people, it's clear that they don’t make as big a deal about "canon" as many in the West do. For example, it has never officially happened that an author or media outlet in Japan declared “only the manga is canon.” That mindset mostly comes from Western fans. The word canon in the way we use it doesn’t even exist in the Japanese language in the same sense.

Most mangaka are actually happy when their work gets further adaptations, and many of them even reference those adaptations. Toyotaro, for instance, has recently included characters in the manga who originally appeared only in filler.

If you're wondering, "But what about inconsistencies?" it's actually quite funny, because most Japanese fans or media would simply say something like “It happened,” or “It somehow works anyway.” They genuinely don’t care about contradictions as much as Western fans do. The obsession with a strict "canon" is largely a Western purist concept.

Even the recent Dragon Ball Daima anime supports this perspective. Toriyama was heavily involved in its production, yet didn’t bother reconciling every continuity detail. That’s because Dragon Ball is seen as a large, flexible universe where many stories coexist. As long as they are officially licensed or branded, they are considered part of the franchise.

Trunks sword looking different could be an artistic choice, and there isnt other explanation as of why he has it other than a headcanon.

Yes and nice, doesnt really disprove warth of the dragon from being canon to the anime. If anything, guides can contradict themselves more often than not, and you know primary canon takes precedence over supplementary material. In this case it doesnt have much bearing with the show in question.

Why is an explanation even needed? Again, need I remind you, the sword with the golden hilt Trunks brandishes in exactly one (1) shot in the series opening does not appear in the series itself once. Never is Trunks ever depicted wielding a sword of any shape, size, or color; nor is he ever referencing or alluding to a sword he owns; nor is he ever even suggested to be a swordsmanship of any level of ability. During the events of GT, Trunks and swords never intersect. In fact, I do not even believe the sword is brought up in the Chōzenshū.

Your entire argument is founded upon the idea that Tapion's sword and the Dragon Fist are carried over from Wrath of the Dragon. Tapion's sword does not appear in GT, Trunks never uses a sword during the events of GT, and Chōzenshū 3 confirms Goku developed and first used the Dragon Fist against Super 17 in GT.

Nothing in the source material implies Goku did not develop and first use the Dragon Fist against Super 17. Why is Goku ad libbing a technique such a far-fetched idea to you? He has improvised new moves before; say, for example, the Feet Kamehameha. In fact, when Goku first uses the Dragon Fist, he does not unleash forth a dragon made from energy which ensnares its target and then explodes, like against Hirudegarn in Wrath of the Dragon; he simply charges straight through Super 17, as he once did against King Piccolo, with the image of a dragon guiding him as he unleashes his full power.

Toei Animation produces the anime. Shueisha does not even have the audiovisual rights to the franchise; Capsule Corp Tokyo manages the audiovisual rights.

I thought the problem was that Akio had a fight with Sueshia becouse they own the rights of the DBS canon and Toei can't start the anime production becouse of that.
 
Some UG martial arts sites back then req. some knowledge before you could join them like break down of fighters technique in the sequence(s) and looking at his punching mechanics and execution/application of said techniques. After that it was changed to invinite only with the risk that both could be banned, so you had to be careful when inviting.

One my online-friends who used to be in the same hardcore server like me, made the joke of only letting guys in if they pass the eye test of dragonball. Like for brothers christ, they cant even see the simplest things and you want a deeper break down? Pretty much every single site would die.

Fun times 😭 ... god do I miss that sh*t.

Side note: No one has to be a master of anything, it makes battleboarding boring but its just funny seeing them "martial arts experts" takes when it comes to Goku 🤣 at least dont act like pseudo intellectual dicks.
 
I had never even thought to connect the dots, but I just now realized that, to my knowledge, the only times a fighter's aura has been explicitly observed by others were when: (1) a Super Saiyan (Goku) and a Bio-Android consisting of Saiyan DNA with power naturally rivalling Super Saiyans and an aura illustrated identically to the Super Saiyan's began "emitting flames"; (2) when a Super Saiyan (Goku) illuminated the Dark Planet with his naturally radiated light energy; and (3) when Goku completed the Super Saiyan Blue form, sealing its energy inside of his body, and later harnessed its energy into his fist, returning the aura.

Toriyama is such a a down to earth guy. I alredy knew that thanks newer interviews but it seems he was always like that.

What he achieved in one lifetime is all time great stuff.

I hope we get a new dragonball film with jackie chan ... dragonball + jackie chan = peak

So ...expierence gets both overrated and underrated but angels and the grand priest give me "holyshit" vibes. I have a feeling once you reach the status of Whis or maybe Grand priest you will passively improve and fine-tune pretty much everything that has to do with fighting. It could be the same case as Beerus "my mind is always on destruction". Angels case could be similiar, they get better without doing anything.

Another thing, the way DB handles UI is a bit different compared to many, many verses (this wont be a rant, dont worry) since its the pinnacle of fighting and not a small part of a big picture, it friggin encompass the entire picture or better said everything that comes with fighting.

What am i trying to say? Im looking at my man Broly. Brolys adapting skills are one part of fighting and my gut tells me UI scales above Brolys talent. The only question is, when does this tasty stuff kick in? Since Goku is still a bottom UI user, maybe once he reaches Whis UI level?

Toriyama/Toyotaro never gave me "they spent to much time on battleboarding sites" vibes but I hope they do something incredible with the higher levels or complete mastery of the UI.
