Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax has so many of the peakest moments in the series back to back. Madara vs the Shinobi Alliance, Naruto befriending Kurama and unlocking KCM2, "Would you like these doppelgangers to use Susano'o...or not? Your choice" and "This jutsu's weakness and risk...is me!" In the same fing chapter, the Perfect Susanoo reveal, Sasuke and Itachi's final farewell, Obito's reveal, Obito vs the Blood Mist Anbu, the Edo Hokage conversation, Shinsuu Senju, the Edo Hokage's entrance, Team 7 working together for the first time in 500ish chapters, and Kakashi vs Obito is a beyond chef's kiss worthy lineup.

I can only imagine how great this must’ve been as a reader when the series was still ongoing

I truly never understood the agro people had for the arc. I mean, is it without issues? No, but those issues were certainly MAGNIFIED.
It's naruto after all, this manga is bound to be hated for the most little things that people would easily overlook in other series, glad I didnt become one of those bots that eat up all criticism

Some readers just simply weren't fans of Naruto and could cherrypick issues all day long - which is easy to do week to week when you don't know how it's all going to shake out and when the mangaka has to deliver the story in 17-page snippets that are not only a good read almost every single week but have to further along the plot of several dozen characters and juggle them all cohesively.

weekly naruto would not have been a good thing, you'll get peak story for 2 minutes and have to wait for a whole ass new week to see what happens in the story, 20 pages is barely an episodes worth of content

nowadays you can binge to your desire

They just keep up with a series to whine and whine infinitely

The whole War Arc is great, and it gets better every year in retrospective. Even the Kaguya section of the story, which I hate, still has great choreography and moments.

Even with how eh/rushed the overall Kaguya arc was

Naruto vs Sasuke saves the ending of the series ( anime especially )

Easily one of the best final battles to anything I've ever seen ( manga/novel/cartoon/etc... )

a lot of Naruto discourse is honestly just reading comp diff as 🤓 as it sounds,

Most people go into Battle Shounen for cool fights, cool characters, and cool art/animation.

Not to mention most people started Naruto as kids.

for a casual viewer, less obvious aspects of storytelling are usually glossed over because of cool things going on, so when the culmination of all of those events happens, people get confused or upset when things betray their expectations.

when that happens, instead of reevaluating their own understanding of a series, people will instead just believe it's bad writing and move on.

Naruto, JJK, MHA, Bleach, DBZ, and a lot of other Shounen get hit with that heavily unfortunately.

Naruto gets hit with it doubly so since it is a Shounen (a "genre" people are always trying to oversimplify) and a member of the HST (three of the most popular Shounen so it's fun to hate on it or call it ass compared to their favorite niche series)

there are also other factors like goons on social media, that one plague of gripes video, the anime not always being the best at adapting certain story beats that Kishi's art just does better, people putting an absurd amount of a series value solely on its ending, etc.

Mind you like a minute into the video he outright admits he doesn't know much about the series and barely seen it

And yet people decided the was the expert of everything about the franchise

It just proves the point like over half the fanbase genuinely just can't read or form their own opinions

Might have to do with people liking Naruto instead of Boruto and it kinda takes less than 10 mins to read a chapter.

Anyways I've been waiting for Tier 5 Mitsuki so I'm glad it seems like his Sage Mode is actually going to do something

Would be hilarious if Ryu is hyper unserious about it 💀. Based on the Spoilers, Mitsuki doesn’t really harm him at all.

On another note, the anime established that Lightning Release demagnetizes Iron Sand, right?

Yeah but it depends on the potency of the lightning.

Boruto's + Sarada's combination lightning jutsu did nothing, but Mitsuki's was able to demagnetize Shinki's Iron Sand. Also now that Sarada now has Chidori, this is a good matchup all things considered.

Though none of them actually fight Shinki in the manga iteration but whatever
