One question, but why you keep saying Renji fused with his zanpakuto?Few thoughts from the finale:
Now here’s kind of my wishlist for cour 4:
- Man the art direction looked beautiful, honestly that’s a praise that goes through the entire cour, but I can’t say enough how good it looks, to quote MrTommo they just lift Kubo’s art from the page onto the screen and that’s awesome
- The soundtrack was banging as well, I’ve always been a Sagisu fan, but he keeps dropping bangers, any time the Quincy OSTs were playing I was vibing
- All the extra Ishida family scenes were great, Ryuken and Uryu parallels on point especially with the graveyard scenes, but my favorite was the extended Uryu flashback with Souken, “on our honor as Quincy we MUST protect this world” gave me chills
- The implicit promise of more Soul King lore to come with Jushiro/Mimihagi tease at the end and Rangiku looking at Gerard has me frothing for the new content
- All the fight choreography look so good, so glad Gerard is 2D, both his and Askin’s start of the fights looked great
- The voice actors really elevated the anime for me, I didn’t expect to be so consistently blown back by their performances this cour, but it might be my favorite part of the anime so far, you can really feel the love they put into the show through their performances which is awesome
- Random aside, I really like the smooth transition of zooming out from Yhwach to the Wahrwelt to the ending graphic lol
- The only thing I can fault the finale for is it being set up for cour 4 making the wait that much more excruciating lol, Bleach fans ate good this cour, by a long shot this is the best cour of the TYBW anime and I can’t wait for cour 4 to be even better
Anyway it’s good to be a Bleach fan rn, glad that I can experience this with yall
- More SK lore on Adyneus himself as well as his corpse parts
- What’s up with Renji and his pseudo fused with Zanpakuto Bankai, in fact it’d be great to explore the concepts of transcendence and fusing with your Zanpakuto more
- Extended fights for all the final fights, don’t leave any character in the dust (Fullbringers, Chad, Isshin and Ryuken, etc)
- More expansion on Quincy history in general (why was Souken banished explicitly, what was Yhwach and Adyneus’s relationship like)
- Perhaps some more original sin lore too, we got teased with brief Soul King flashbacks, but seeing more from that era would be awesome
- Aizen’s Bankai ability, I know he’s transcended beyond that but I still want to see it even if I have a pretty solid grasp on what I believe it is
- And my Hail Mary is more Hell arc implications and foreshadowing

I’m not making an objective claim, I just said it’s hinted he might have a pseudo fusion based on his Uryu fight. When he splits his arm to make his Bankai appear at the end of the fight.

No, at least not rn. We have multitudes of evidence suggesting that healing grave injuries doesn’t fully restore your spirit energy. Plus there’s the unresolved point of if Renji recovered from getting his reishi stolen by Uryu. For the time being at least, we have more reason to believe Renji isn’t at full power. Cour 4 could change that lol but for now no

Probably. Funny enough we already know Shinigami can do limited TK with the whole Rangiku reiatsu booby tape. So I imagine Ichigo is doing a more advanced application of that. We also know that TS Ichigo can solidify his reiatsu so not crazy either

Ichigo also used TK before too when he fought Ulquiorra when Zangetsu took over with The Chain. I think this is Zangetsu's ability, if so, very cool that he's using more of his kit.

His scaling should be connected to gerard, yes.

It was impressive that Shinji managed to hurt Gerard without even using the amps from his Hollow mask, while Gerard easily brushed off Byakuya's Shikai.
I suppose Byakuya's Bankai would scale him above Shinji due to the boost it provides, whereas Shinji's Bankai relies on a hax based ability and doesn't give him much of a boost?

uryu and jugram as well tho uryu a weird case cause he still was strong enough to put a hole in a TS shikai ichigo even if the latter wasn't was serious like he was in there round 2

3-A, possibly Low 2-C comes from a compromise of what “destroying all of Soul Society means”. That compromise being whether they’re destroying the spacetime continuum or just the physical universe.

Hachi knows healing and it’s stated it can restore even Reiryoku in bleach, so I go with the easiest interpretation Renji is just healed.
In the manga Renji was fine and he still get KO’d, mind you Kubo wrote it.
Shinji is also shown relative to Byakuya,and I believe Byakuya > Renji.
At this point I just put Uryu hold back and never got injured anyway so I don’t apply scaling between him and Renji. I think it’s reasonable.
If there will be any clear way to scale Renji higher via nerf I’ll be open, but the Gerard thing for me now is author intent that just byakuya zaraki and Toshiro are build enough to fight gerard.
Or other options, is upscaling lot of people around s0. Which is debatable ig.

There is no 2-C stuff on the profiles. I've got a 2-C Bleach thread that will be coming out before January ends, so that should have your answers. It was during an era where we took what we could get lmao, unfortunately the "uni Bleach wars" spanned several threads that were often just continuations of each other, so there's no one thread I can point you too. Plus I think a lot of my older arguments just outright suck lol
Yeah I'm kinda going at the pace of the anime, since they're adding so much new stuff I figured it's best to wait before as cours go. I want to make a cosmology blog once the anime is fully concluded. Granted that won't be for like another year lol.

I understand it is bleach's version of ETSO drama and would naturally lead to that but assuming you were present there could you give me a TLDR of where the tier 2 is coming from?
Tbh after cour 4 is probably the best if you wish to take back 2C bleach as it would have the most anime canon content itll likely expand on much needed things

It's just equivocal interpretations of what destroying existence entailed in those old Bleach threads. We granted that it would at least encompass the physical matter (3-A) while possibly referring to the structural construct of the realm as a spacetime continuum as well (possibly Low 2-C). In a nutshell it was accepted that Reio's ED would cause the everything to be destroyed, and everything was granted basically at least 3-A, possibly Low 2-C. Very bare bones, but that's the TLDR. Personally, I think you can be a little more critical and skeptical of those types of arguments, but I plan on replacing them here soon anyway.

Uryu put hole through a incapped paralyzed senjumaru, off guarded ichigo.
None of these really qualify to scale him to their actual full powered form.
And I was pointing out, the one that beat senjumaru is stronger than the one that renji fought. His red eyes, mimihagi marks makes it very clear both are different forms
