Uryu directly stated that it nerfs his Shikai and Bankai, which we also see is the case because his Bankai at the end of his fight was only a skeleton compared to the actual Soō Zabimaru. That and we don't know if the healing recovered his power either. We definitely know Orihime could've gotten rid of it with Shun Shun Rikka, but based on the location it would be hard for Renji to get treatment from her.

She did. Ichigo had his wounds recovered in the Arrancar Arc after Ulquiorra, but he was missing his Shihakusho due to it's ties to reiatsu.
