Literally immediately after this feat Xenoverse Trunks shows ups. The Dragon Ball (Games) Cosmology page says this is straight up Xenoverse Trunks and not Heroes' Xeno Trunks.
After appearing he flies with the GT cast and helps them in battle. If you think about it his reaction speed also sort of blitzed their travel speed. The cast flies into the timeline, Trunks must have immediately found out which timeline they're in because he has to put the coordinates to use the time machine, and he arrives before Beat and Note catch up to the other characters who stopped flying.
