Yeah, I know. Doesn't make it any less insane lol. This is someone who most people consider fodder to Naruto and Sasuke ******** on their (at least partial) avatars. Momo needed steroids and Jutsu spam to chip away at the avatars over time, for example. Also, bro has a lot of other absurd stuff in the novel lol. This is just probably the most insane example, arguably.
Is this usable tho? I think prolly not. I don't remember this sequence existing in any of the other adaptations.

I think I remember something not the same but vaguely similar in the movie where an injured Kinshiki swings his enlarged sword and blows everyone away

He was still acting as Madara so he had to act superior to everyone

And when Kabuto showed Madara that ofc means that he knew Obito wasn’t Madara

So the facade he hid behind for leverage like he did in the 5 Kage summit to force them into a war was blown by Kabuto so he had no choice but to be fr with Kabuto.

So it's probably less, "Obito thought he could solo"

And more Obito believes that Madara wouldn't be worried about a group of S-Class Missing Nin, and would shrug the threat off so that's how he acts until he's ousted as a fraud.

I don't think that's the same thing tho.

In the FKS, he was justifying why he can't just lay waste to the entire Shinobi Alliance, which OG Madara would be able to do.

Against Kabuto, it was a negotiation. So it was in his best interest to not show any weakness, or make it seem like Kabuto was in an extremely advantageous position over him. This is why he kept acting smug even tho he was clearly rattled.

I think you're reading too much into it tbh. The Madara thing was just utter shock at how Kabuto knew about Madara, or was able to acquire his body. And unlike the other Akatsuki members, Madara can expose Obito's whole charade. It's just a whole other thing IMO.

Eh, that was after Kabuto showed Madara though. Prior to that, Obito seemed pretty chill.

It's kind of in the context of a threat though, since Obito was just about to kill Kabuto, when Kabuto pulled out all the Edos and was like "dw I'm not here to fight." Then he pulled out Madara which screams, "Anyways you can't fight me since I have Madara, so I'm safe"

Yes, and as I pointed out earlier, he had way more reason to be shocked about the Madara reveal than the others. It's way more shocking that Kabuto not only knew that Obito wasn't the real Madara, but that he even gained access to his body.

Except that Obito didn't really stop attacking or being super aggressive towards Kabuto when he pulled out Madara, he did so when Kabuto summoned the Edo Akatsuki. And he became more at ease because Kabuto literally said "Ion wanna fight you, I just wanna join you", which immediately turned it from a potential hostile situation into a pure negotiation.

I just feel like this is waaaaaaay too flimsy and assumptive to allow us to assert something like 'OM Obito can easily solo the Akatsuki' when we know just Itachi on his own can likely go toe to toe with Obito lol.

Kabuto also almost immediately says “don’t worry I haven’t told anyone else.”

Practically saying that the identity of the edo tensei being known by others would impact Obito negatively.

Yeah but that's a separate thing. The point is that he wasn't particularly threatened prior to Madara, whether that was due to the physical threat or other reasons

Yeah it's not like he can just slap around the Edo Akatsuki with no problem, but he was still seemingly undecided on what he'd do given that he asked about if he refused

I meeeeean, as far as Obito knows, Itachi is weakened (even though he's actually not), Nagato is very weakened due to his physical condition, Sasori has no puppets, and Kakuzu and Deidara are fodder to him, so Alive Itachi being on his level and him thinking he can take on the Edo Akatsuki aren't really contradictory

Also I should clarify I don't necessarily agree or disagree with the interpretation that he's above the Edo Akatsuki, I just think it's an interesting meta that has validity to it

The AP sections are usually not that terrible (at least on Naruto’s side) for any of the death battles I recall. They usually just use very bare bones tier 5 god tier metas that aren’t too far from where we bounce them around on site anyways.

The real problem they had a lot of the time was understanding Naruto hax.

Like saying Hiei can counter Sasuke’s GJ with his Jagan eye because it sees through illusions when that’s some basic Sharingan stuff let alone MS or Rinnegan stuff.

Gaara vs Toph was also pretty bad💀

pretty barebones, and sometimes just not good when it comes to hax and ability interactions though.

he blocks sasuke's susanoo earlier ,gets sasuke to shit himself about his physicals and almost knocks sasuke out cold. so ehh. he may not physically be always an avatar slayer but his consistently treated as someone who physically dominates sasuke, which is still insane lmfao

I feel like they were shown decent amounts of love towards the franchise and feats but I wish they use the higher end stuff a lot more
