I just noticed that this doesn't exist, so I might as well make it since it is my favorite manga/anime. I know it wont be a popular discussion thread given it ended quite a while ago, but whatever.
This thread can be used to discuss anything related to Fullmetal Alchemist, share fanart, talk about your opinions or headcanons and discuss potential upgrades.

Mainly made this thread in preparation for the big revision I am going to make in the next few days. If Ultima is still of the same opinion and if I didn't miss anything major, we might finally have a solid rating for the Truth, but we will have to wait and see. I am a bit worried, but hopefully everything will go smoothly and people wont stonewall it to death. If you guys have any obscure information about the Truth that I might have missed, feel free to share it, either here or in my dms.

Btw, for those interested, I posted the big upgrade I was talking about. I made it with the help of Ultima in private, so it should go well if I didn't miss anything big.

The thread has been added to queue (it's the last one on the 1-A section) so we will have to wait for some time and than see how it goes. I am not worried about DT's claims since they are easily debunk able and once the thread is reopened I will reply to him, I am more than anything curious to see if Ultima still agrees that it is 1-A or not, but we will see for that.

It was said here, during the fight with Scar. It was probably said other times too, but this is the main one I remember.
Scar stops at the second step to cause matter deconstruction, but alchemists usually do all of the three steps to perform transmutations.

I'm trying to say about a more specific receipt, I mean, words about the transformation of matter (what you sent is part of that page on the wiki), maybe it was in the 2009 anime?

So you need a scan about transmutation being related to matter? Well, transmutation in itself would be matter reliant as of our wiki standard, but for a scan of that I would need to search for a bit since I don't remember where a statement about that could be. I will try to see if I can find a bit of time to search for it, but I am 100% positive that there are statements about matter transmutation.

Haven't got time to search for it properly yet, work has been pretty stressful as late.
Though, I will say that something I thought about is that alchemists are shown to be able to turn liquid water into water vapor, which is a process that require the division of the atoms of oxygen and hydrogen that makes up the water, so this fact alone should give the characters matter manipulation on an atomic level. Still, I will see if I can find time to search for a proper statement, maybe during the week-end where I have a bit more time.

Hello. I plan to make a Fullmetal Alchemist collab profile for Granblue

I was wondering whether it would be possible to carry over Alchemy from the Original series. Since there is a direct mention that the mechanism of their alchemy is not so different. just the ingredients materials or certain things like life force, genetic factor, soul etc are different but can still be affected by Alchemy

The collab seems to have happened a few days before the promised day

The characters involved are

Edward
Alphonse
Greed / Ling Yao
May Chang
Roy Mustang
Riza
Olivier
Alex Armstrong

They will have varying tiers thanks to weaponry and alchemy improvement

Most Alchemists get a 5-A, likely 4-C via primal beast scaling + because of the people involved
But Olivier's group can get a 4-A potency only via Anti-Primal Rounds from Society Members, which can penetrate the defense of even high-caliber primal beasts and automagod

As for their hax, they are at least 4-Dimensional due to involvement of Astral Power, a combination of Alkahestry and Jinkazouki hijacking Country Wide Transmutation Circle to nullify it or modify it

Uh, that's up to how it's portrayed more than the home series, but I'd suggest not, there's a bunch of specifics that are probably not 1 to 1 carried over and the important stuff should be directly explained in the crossover itself anyways meaning you don't need the source page. There's also some stuff with Truth probably being tier 1 that might end up having a knock-on effect on the power if anyone ever gets around to making a thread for that (a minor knock-on effect mind you they're not gonna have wacky high-d hax, but still)

Yeah, one of my concerns is that Alphonse is in the Truth Gate as well

Would that actually downgrade him to assume his soul is actually occupying the Armor?

Guess I'll go try to equate their abilities within collab showcase

I mean no matter what, anything that happens in this crossover isn't gonna be canon to the original series lol. So I dunno, go with however the crossover treats it when it comes to those profiles.
